Do not book this "hotel"!!!!

Upon arrival we found the following unbearable conditions that made it impossible to stay for longer than one night:

- no hot water
- only one glass in the so called "self-catering-studio"
- dirty, torn towels (only one towel was provided upon arrival)
- dangerous electric wiring throughout living, kitchen and bathroom area
- dirty bed
- airconditiong is only available at extra costs of €6 per day
- "free safe" as decribed costs 1-2€ per day (staff was unsure)
- no reception, "hotel" is being managed from the pool bar
- dirty mouldy "pool" (the water is actually green and has algae in it)
- no TV (this should be a basic interiour for a real 3 star accomodation)
- the described "balcony" is not more than a 2 ft square box

Even the duty manager agreed with this and signed a complaint stating all of the above!!

The staff were amazing - the hotel owner and his wife were lovely, lovely people who did try their best with what they had.

The pool was the only enjoyable area of the hotel.

It is extremely close to bar street, club street and the beach (all about 2 minutes walk).

However...we were expecting 3* accommodation....what we got was something that didn't really deserve anything above 1*!! the bathroom was tiny - no shower curtain and no shower head holder. we had to remove the toilet roll everytime we showered or it would end up soaking wet.

The bed sheets were dirty, the plates and cutlery had clearly just been rinsed out and not washed with soap. the room wasn't cleaned even once during the 7 days we were there! The balcony (the size of which could be compared to a matchbox) couldn't be used at night because the light didn't work.

We couldn't get A/C until the second night because the man with the keys wasn't around so we sweltered in 32 degrees of heat for 2 days!

All these things could have been more bearable had we got the "sea view apartment" we were promised...but what we got were 2 seperate rooms on the ground floor with a view of poorly watered grass and about 20 other balconies.

Overall I would say if you're used to budget accommodation then this hotel is suitable but if you're looking for even the slightest luxury go elsewhere!

Top Tip: There is a beach bar/restaurant called Chaplins, get onto the beach in front of the hotel and walk to the right it's about 1 minute down the beach. The atmosphere is amazing and so are the cocktails. The manager was really lovely and the prices are quite reasonable.

Also - get on a bus and go to Tzambica bay, the beach is amazing and the walk down there is quite scenic. Make sure you book a taxi for the way back though as the last bus back from there to Faliraki is at 4.30.

Do some of the water sports! We did parasailing, flying fish and banana safari. Banana safari was a good trip - you get taken to caves and another bay where you can jump into the sea and look down to the bottom with the goggles they provide. They only have a few pairs though so be prepared if you know your whole party wants to get a look at the bottom of the ocean!
