“ Top Tip: Look out for Platon Taverna in Ialysos Main Street which leads down to the beach. The food is very good and the prices reasonable. Fiery Blaze Cafe in the same street is nice for a snack/drink. Book your trips with Holiday Essentials, again in the main street; great trips and very reliable. All the people in the above named places are pleasant, friendly and professional.

We booked a 2 bed apartment but when we arrived we had been allocated a 1 bed one. There was no problem getting it changed, though it was in the reception block & overlooked buildings rather than the pool. The apartments are fairly basic, the stove is a plug in two ring camping stove, but they provided a kettle so no boiling water on the hotplate! We used the 2nd pool, set in the gardens & seemed to keep the sun longer. The pool looked a bit cloudy some days but it didn't stop me using it! There was a bit of a pong from the drains/toilets built at the bottom of the garden. Food was a bit hit/miss from the on site Taverna. Didn't eat there a great deal but omelettes great, perka (fish) great, chicken souvlaki not so great - the texture of the chicken was too soft (although the cats were happy enough with it!). Lots of people we spoke to said their meals were great . The taverna/bar staff were friendly & welcoming. The on-site supermarket was understocked (put down to being end of season) & overpriced, although a lot of the goods weren't priced so you don't know til you get to the till. There is a Carrefour supermarket across the road - better prices but the road was often very busy. We expected the beach to be shingle but it was quite pebbly & we needed sport shoes to get in the water (just as well we had some with us, but available in the tourist shops). The beach is 5-10 min walk away. The closest nightlife approx 15 mins away, half of which is along the main road.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Kassandra & it was value for money. Stayed for 2 weeks end Sept & into Oct.

“ Good location. Room basic but very good value for money, cleaned daily. Staff really friendly. Enjoyed our stay!
“ Top Tip: Take a travel kettle. We used a pan to boil water, which was ok with us.
