Hotel basic but comfortable. Nice size swimming pool which has sun all day earlier review stated no sun until 3pm we found this not to be so. On the
downside there was building work going on next door which started at 730am
and went on until 3pm. So relaxing by the pool was difficult. Rhodes old town
was amazing a wonderful atmosphere day and night.

Our stay at the Angela Suites was a disappointment for my wife and myself. I would not recommend it to anyone and we have no plans to stay there again. On arrival in the late afternoon we were allocated apartment 1 which is located on the ground floor behind the reception. We were extremely disappointed as it was a very dark room located at the side of the building overlooking a walkway and the adjacent block. As there were no net curtains it was necessary to keep the curtains closed for privacy from the walkway. Though the air-conditioning was making a lot of noise it was not actually cooling the apartment.
I expressed my disappointment to the person at reception. He was very understanding, but said we should speak to the manager the following morning. As my wife and myself sweltered in the apartment I determined that I would demand a different room.
I spoke again to the person at reception and insisted that he contact the duty manager immediately. It was arranged for us to move for one night only to another ground floor apartment which overlooked the pool. On the second day were moved to the 4th floor (44) again on the side of the building, but much brighter. There were a few issues with this apartment, but we chose to live with them. The toilet was not bolted to the floor; the door to the balcony from the lounge would not lock; there was no shower curtain; bare wires were hanging from the wall; there was no balcony furniture.
Be aware – The hotel has contracts with a number of tour operators including Olympic. They demand the best rooms for their clients. Lone travellers get the remainder. There is no price difference between the apartments, so unless you travel with a tour operator there is a good chance that you will be equally disappointed.
The staff at the hotel were polite, friendly and very helpful.
We enjoyed Rhodes Town very much. It was one of our best holidays...but do not stay here!

The hotel was in a great location for surrounding restaurants and ease of access to Rhodes old town. The breakfast was average but our room had an adjoining lounge and kitchen area (with cooking hobs and a fridge) so you can easily get supplies in from the local food shop across the road. No English channels on the tv but then again I wasn't really there for that.

Angela suites is a standard three star Greek hotel. The rooms were clean and functional. There was some limited equipment in the kitchen area but no kettle.
Pool at the back of the hotel was fine and usually empty. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning effective although noisy when on full.
Very handy situation between all the bars restaurants of the new town and access to the old town. All within easy walking distance.
Telly didn't work but we didn't go to watch telly!

Top Tip: Try :
- JJ's bar just 100 yards to the left on October street.
- Port du Monde bar and restaurant in the New Market
- Mandala restaurant in the Old Town
- Yanni's taverna in the Old Town
- Mango Bar in the Old Town
Take sterling with you and change it in the Bank of Greece opposite Mandraki harbour, they don't charge commission and the difference between it and Manchester Airport, for changing £100 was an amazing 30 euros!

Check-in date:

Great hotel located only about 300m from Mandraki Harbour the old town and the town beaches. A good base for exploring Rhodes Town. The swimming pool was very welcome after a day out sightseeing.

Top Tip: Yamas Restaurant in 28th Octomber Street is well worth a visit. The bus station is only about 300m from the hotel and by using the good bus service you can avoid spending a fortune on taxis - getting a bus to Lindos is particularly good value.
