Lomeniz Hotel

“ The hotel was excellent value for money. My partner and I went for the 'All Inclusive' option which worked out about £25 each per night. We didn't go with very high expectations for the food as we'd read the reviews on this site. And in general, the food wasn't amazing but for what we paid I don't think I could complain. The hot breakfast wasn't great and there was no fresh fruit in the morning (however every evening there were plenty of delicious peaches so I kept one for the morning to eat with Greek yoghurt and honey!). The lunches and dinners were much the same each day. A couple of the dishes were tasty and the salads were ok but don't expect a gourmet feast! We ate a few lunches and dinners out as well so we didn't get too bored – I wouldn't have been able to eat every meal at the hotel for the week.
The hotel was very clean and our room was an adequate size with a little balcony. We only spent one day at the pool which was really nice but it just didn't compare to the amazing ocean nearby. The staff were mostly very friendly with the exception of a couple of grumpy bar tenders but we didn't let it bother us. The clientele were mostly older Russian and Eastern European couples when we were staying as well as a couple of other English couples.
It's about 15mins to walk to the Old Town which was fine and if we were tired from swimming or drinking we got a cab back which was a set price of £5 from Old Town and £7 from the Port.
I would recommend the Lomeniz as a perfectly adequate hotel and would stay again... just don't go with high hopes for food and all is good!

“ Top Tip: The local boat trips on offer from the port are great. We took the swimming trip one which stopped at 4 or 5 bays along the coast where you could dive off and swim. The water was amazing!

“ This hotel was modern clean, rooms nice, service was good, no problems, bathroom was abit small, desk staff were nice, although we did'nt need anything, but the breakfast was not good at all, very little choice and the cooked food was luke warm. There was cornflakes or cornflakes, something that looked like scrambled egg with mushrooms in it, scambled egg with green beans at least i think thats what they were, it was very poor really, i don't know what the other meals were like as we went bed and breakfast but speaking to others they were not good. The hotel was abit of a way from the old town but that was not a problem as we like walking. Rhodes Town is great very nice. But we would not use this hotel again.

“ Very clean and modern. Staff were helpful and friendly except the reception night staff who was quite rude and threatened to phone the police because we were laughing late at night. I was annoyed as for the last 6 nights I had been woken at 3am by drunk customers who were loud for a very long time.
Food was lovely.

“ Top Tip: Beach was 2 minute walk and stunning, walk a little futher down for more sandy part of the beach. Not much around but short taxi to Rhodes town.

“ The hotel itself is very comfortable modern and potentially could have a higher Star rating if they could improve on the food and bar service.
The buffet selection was not great but you could put something together to make up a meal. We thought the salad selection would be better as the greeks normally do wonderful greek salads. The service at the bar was slow and the staff struggle to smile.
Be aware the hotel is in a residential area. Rhodes town is a 20 minute walk away 5 euro one way in a taxi.
A handfull of restaurants are close by but no entertainment at all.
Overall we had a good holiday the hotel is a good base for anyone wanting a relaxing break and sight seeing in mind. But go bed a nd breakfast and eat out, after all the greeks have a great selection of tasty traditional dishes. But don't expect good food in this Hotel.
