Doreta Beach Resort

“ Generally, hotel was ok. room was nice and clean, but the view from the window wasn't beautiful. It wasn't a garden as it says. We could see a road and some old house ruins. Staff was very kind and helpful. Other bad think about the hotel that food wasn't hot enough and not a big variety, not many greek dishes and fruits choise was poor as well. breakfast dishes were all the time the same. alcohol was a bed quality. I would rate this hotel only for 3 stars, not 4 stars definitely.

“ Top Tip: Faliraki beach is lovely. You can find a beach bar there and water sports (but they are expencive). I liked Rhodes town. you can find a lot of thinks to do there and to see and it is only 20 min by car from Doreta.

“ Our second visit to this hotel was at the start of the season instead of the end on an all inclusive basis. Improvements are taking place albeit slowly. All aspects of the hotel exceeded my expectations: our room was spacious, clean and had a fantastic sea view location with a spacious balcony; staff were helpful and pleasant and some remembered us from last year; the food was very good and a lot of choice; the juices were made from concentrates and the wine is inexpensive local wine but plentiful; the Spa treatments were of a good value and the packages are recommended. The convenient and well stocked shop in the hotel was not overpriced and some items were much cheaper than expected. Free Wifi is in the reception area only which was inconvenient. The hotel was busy for the start of the season and we met a lot of people who had stayed there before. We would rate this a first class 3 star hotel to which we hope to return. Considering what Greece is going through the staff at this hotel are amazing and keep smiling.

“ Top Tip: ATM only 2 minutes walk from the hotel; bus stop into Rhodes centre is directly outside the hotel; car hire facilities can be found at the hotel; Mike's taverna is excellent.

“ They were very helpful eventually especially as they weren't expecting us on the first night. They upgraded our room as I couldn't use a shower over a bath ( I have arthritis which limits my hip and knee movements) . And they provided us with the use of a wheelchair for places where there was a lot of walking involved and where we didn't have access with our car we had hired.

“ After reading reviews before my holiday, I was worried what to find. The superier rooms were really big, comfortable & clean. The hotel although a bit out of the way, the position for the beach was fantastic. ( you will need beach shoes to walk on ) The food was a bit much the same every day, but plenty of it so you could not go hungry, the staff were amazing they work long hours and can be very friendly if you are to them.Overall we got what we payed for and I would go again.
