“ This is probably the most sophisticated upmarket B&B in the world. It is so, so elegant. A grand mansion from days of very wealthy traders completely restored in grande taste to make anyone's holiday experience sublime. In the evening the excellant staff change your bath towels, make your bed, tidy your room and put on the bedside lamps to greet you when you get home. A tealight is alight on your gargen table too. This is exceptional. Going here again in September...it is THAT good.
“ Top Tip: This 'diamond' is in the centre of the capital of Santorini, Fira. There are a multitude of 'CRAP' restaurants serving very expensive garbage, so ask Ireena - the fabulous Hotel Manager - for the best restaurants - she is a mind of information. Just up the road in Imverogli are 2 fabulous taverns - both on the same site where a litre of wine is just 9 Euros..just a 5 Euro taxi drive away...absolute bargain.

“ It was a fantastic holiday. Although end of season, Fira was still lively and there was much to see and do. The hotel was beautiful and the hostess Joanna (English equivalent name!) was attentive and very helpful. The staff were also great and eager to help and make our stay better. The rooms were stylish and immaculate. The breakfast was good too. We would recommend this hotel and Travel Republic to anyone.
“ Top Tip: Alex's bike hire next to our hotel was great. We hired quad bikes to get round the island. It is cheap and fun way to get about. We did the length of the Island and barely made a dent in the full tank of petrol. The locals are well aware of quads and so drive respectfully around them on the roads which made them feel extremely safe too. All the restaurants on the walkway in front of the Aria Lito Mansions as you walk downhill serve great food!

“ Beautiful hotel situated ideally right in the heart of the town and yet incredibly peaceful and quiet. Rooms were clean and well equiped and the staff were flawlessly helpful and friendly and teh breakfasts were excellent. Only complaint would be that we had twin beds rather than a double but apart from this it was an exceptional place.
“ Top Tip: The Sphinx restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious and the service would please even the very particular. It's a good idea to book though especially if you want a caldera view at sunset!
