Great location overlooking the caldera and adjacent to the cathedral. As it's on the main street you can walk along rather than having to climb up and down the hills, as with so many of the boutique hotels.
The staff are very welcoming and efficient with excellent English, French, German.
The breakfast was delicious with a choice of tea or coffee, eggs with bacon, or Greek yoghurt with banana, peach & plum, accompanied by fresh orange juice and cake.
The pool looked lovely but the water was quite cool.
Our room was very spaceous with lovely views over the caldera. The room was cleaned in the morning and the beds remade in the evening by very attentive staff.
“ Top Tip: Can recommend Ellis restaurant next door to this hotel. It is slightly more expensive than some others but we were routinely given one, and sometimes two desserts free of charge, and on our last day 1/2 L white wine and a glass of dessert wine too. The restaurant gets quite busy, so recommend booking. Lovely view of the sunset. Very friendly and efficient staff.

“ Older style hotel relatively expensive as are all hotels in Thira. Comfortable and with outstanding views. Very helpful and really nice staff. Food and snacks very limited but available nearby.
“ Top Tip: Spoilt for choice with restaurants but better value in back streets away from the front.
