Very Good

“ Very clean and friendly family-run hotel, with good-sized rooms with balconies, air-conditioning, and TV including BBC World and Euronews in English. Serves a basic buffet breakfast, and there's a small bar by the pool, which is open in the afternoon. Not really a lively place, so perfect for those seeking a quiet time away from it all. A 10-20 minute walk to the main Kamari beachfront, and there's a bus stop nearby for the bus to Fira in the north.
“ Top Tip: The traditional taverna on the main street in Kamari just opposite the big church is a must. You will not forget your encounter with Alexandros the eccentric owner, or his many stories. The food is very good too, and excellent value.

Hotel was very clean and in good condition and therefore very good value considering it was only 2 stars. Breakfast was basic but good enough and you could eat all your wanted so was fine to set you up for the day.
A per all the reviews I had read the manager was super helpful. He was very welcoming when we arrived and looked after us really well. He organised hire car and excursions for us - nothing was any trouble.
Hotel was about a 10 mintue walk from beach and restuarants/bars etc. Which was fine for walking off all the meals and wine!! The pool at the hotel was very nice anyway if you did'nt fancy the walk!
Would stay again.

Top Tip:
Oia and Fira are stunning and the views from there are amazing but be warned they get rammed when the sun goes down - so if you want somewhere really nice to watch the famous Santorini sunsets go to the Light house on the tip of the island Akrotiri Faros.
The nicest Greek food I have ever eaten was in Argo in Fira and was reasonably priced too - you may need to book!
The jewellery seems overpriced in Oia you can do some good deals in the shops in Fira so shop around. For example a ring costing 110 euros in Oia could be found for 28 in Fira!!
The volcano trip is worth doing but if you swim in the Hot Springs on Palea Kameni don’t wear a light coloured bikini - it will turn a very unpleasant shade of rusty brown!!!

“ Several changes of bed linen and towels during our week stay. The pool area was lovely - peaceful, plenty of sunbeds and shade, clean and pretty. Breakfast had a more than adequate variety of foods and was substantial.
“ Top Tip: Always a lovely breeze at the quieter beach to the left of the strip but don't forget to take thick soled shoe wear to negotiate the pebbles!

Spotlessy clean, very pleasant and helpful owner, lovely pool, nice views all round, very quiet and plenty of spare loungers around pool. Cold buffet breakfast good.
Right next to half hourly bus service to Thira(make sure you ask for 'kamari Village' on way back!!). travelled around whole isalnd on bus, very cheap and excellent service. You need to be on your toes when catching the bus back... or you will be standing up.
Kamari is a great resort to stay in, with good beach, and an abundance of bars and restaurants. There must be 50 restaurants along the beach and they charge no more than the inland ones.
Thira and Oia are amazing places to visit, especially in the early evening. You will never experience the views anywhere else in the world.
Negatives(only minor) :1/ just that little bit too far from beach when walking back in heat but fine at night when sobering up. 2/ Wish they had a kettle in room as my wife likes her cups of tea.
3/ Not enough beaches/places to visit in Santorini for a 2 week holiday for me, one week was fine.
“ Top Tip: Go to the end of beach by the rock, it is the safest end for getting in the sea, slightly protected from the wind and the has a proper beach bar behind rather than the line of restaurants behind the rest of the beach.
