Roussos Beach Hotel

“ Very disappointing. Only had bed and breakfast but after 2 days no eggs available and not for rest of week. Next day no tea available and not for rest of week. Next day ran out of tinned fruit and not replaced for rest of week. Daren't think what we would have survived on by end of a fortnight !

There a few steps and a fair walk from the drop off point for taxis / transfer bus, so not great for people with walking dificulties.
Hotel just a few strides from beach and restaurants.
Lovely pool, we vertualy had it to ouselves.
Breakfeast basic but acceptable.
Air con and fridge in room were good

“ We have visited Santorini many times and we have previously stayed at the Roussos Beach once before. The Roussos Beach is a good greek style hotel - nothing more but then nothing less. The staff are helpful as you could wish for and it is in a perfect location directly on the volcanic beach. Breakfast is typical greek fayre - bread jam, eggs, meat, fruit and fresh yoghurt and also cereals. Pool area is nice and quiet because most people step across the road to the beach. Only complaint is the coffee machine at breakfast provides coffee that isnt exactly mild or regular!! Very very strong. It is also right amongst all the restaurants and there is a choice of eating to suit every budget. We paid no more than €25 every night for two including wine.

“ Top Tip: Eonos is always good value for an evening meal - ask and you will get complimentary wine. Recommend the Sea Bream which is filleted and dressed and served at the table. Levante Bar is still the best and most relaxing bar in the resort -courtesy of Nik and his excellent service. If your looking for scenery and views you might want to avoid Fira and the crush in the narrow streets when 3 cruise ships full o f the US's finest overeaters are in port and head to Oia instead. More relaxed and much nicer than Fira with just as good a view.

“ Our stay at the Roussos Beach Hotel was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I stayed in room 135 which had uninterrupted views of the sea. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation had everything we needed, with air-conditioning, a lovely balcony, a tv and - perhaps most welcome - a fridge. There was maid service every day and the accommodation was spotless. When we asked for a key for the safe (provided in each room) this was given to us at no extra charge.
The pool itself was perfect for us, and there was no competition to reserve sunbeds. As the beach is so near, it would appear that many guests prefer the beach sunbeds to those provided around the pool (and bear in mind that we went in August).
Breafkast consisted of bread, cheese, ham, hard boiled eggs, cereal, olives, cake, jam, fruit squash, tea and coffee and this was served between 8am and 10 am. Everyone at the hotel was most obliging and the service from Travel republic was impeccable. The timing of everything was faultless, from pick-up at the airport to delivery back there a week later. The fact that we didn't see a cloud all week, also helped.

“ Top Tip: During August, the local buses get quite busy. They are certainly a cheap alternative, but sometimes the organised tours are informative and well worth that little extra.
