“
This is a very quiet hotel, ideal for relaxing by the pool. The rooms and pool area were very clean and well presented but also quite basic.
“
Top Tip:
The 24 hour bakery on the main road in Perissa sells the most delicious pastries and is ideal for a lunch time snack or cake in the afternoon.
There is a small church built into the cliffs in Perissa which you can walk up to for amazing views over the town and bay - wear trainers/walking shoes and go early morning when the climb is shaded.

“ If you're looking for 5* accommodation that could be anywhere in the world go and stay at the Suites of the Gods but if you're after fantastic quality and the best in Greek hospitality then this is the hotel for you. The owner Eleni never stops working to ensure that every guest is happy. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool area is very spacious and the bread at breakfast was the tastiest we've ever had in Greece. There's not many places I would return to purely because we like visiting new places but this is one place that we'd return to without hesitation.
“ Top Tip: The beach is about 5 minutes walk away.

“ Very clean room, maid service every day. Bathroom fixtures and fittings typically greek! (basic but perfectly adequate!) Lovely pool and pool area with plenty of space and sunbeds, some days we had the pool more or less to ourselves! Friendly owners always on hand. Breakfast was nice but the basic bread, butter, jam, orange juice and tea/coffee could have been varied a little and difficult to get the children up for every day! 5 minute walk to beach was ideal, where sunbeds and shades were free if you had drinks/snacks from the relevant bar. The supermarket, fabulous bakery and bus stop are only 5 minutes in another direction. Loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. We would definitely return to the same resort and villa.
“
Top Tip:
Best value restaurants in Perissa were God's Garden and The Volcano. We also enjoyed our meal at Charlina. Good fun to be had at Meteora (Greek night) which is technically in Perivolos, but as near to Villa Clio as the reataurants at far end of Perissa.
If you go on the Volcano trip, and swim in the hot springs, take old swim wear and t-shirts as the brown sulphur in the water stains!
Try the walk to the little white chapel on the mountainside, or even to Ancient Thera at the top. It looks impossible from a distance but path quite accessible (good footwear and early morning/evening reccommended!)

“ The hotel rooms were basic but spotlessly clean, toewls changed daily and beds frequently. The maid came in every day and actually cleaned. The pool area was lovely and you could get a sunbed at any time of day, a lovely area to relax. You can get drinks from the small bar if you want them but this was not always open but usually from lunchtime until early evening. A short 10 mins walk to shops, bakery and restaurants and 10 mins to beach in the other direction. The only downside was the breakfast we couldn't complain as it was included in the price but bread, jam, coffee and dilute juice was very boring! If you have the choice of accommodation only for less do not bother with the breakfast, the bakers a short walk away had lovely fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, sausage rolls, bread and a larege variety of savouries.
“ Top Tip: Take a travel kettle, tea/coffee and adapter for your room as there are no drink making facilities in the standard rooms, just a fridge. If you are going to the beach and using the free sun loungers/parasols offered check the price of the drinks at the nearest bar before choosing your location as they do expect you to buy a couple of drinks from them. We had some very nice and affordable meals, our favourites were The Volcano on the beach front, God's Garden (would recommend the fish platter for 2) and Cyclades was also very nice and traditional.
