Hotel generally OK, but it was fortunate that it was the off-peak season and I was able to move rooms as the original room I was allocated had the branches of the tree spread across the balcony, so there wasn't the greatest deal of light. There wasn't much going on in the evening, but I wasn't too bothered. It's in a fabulous location and was relaxing.

“ I stayed inthe old part of the building which was rather dismal with stains on the carpets I understand re furbishing was taking place and it wasnt till the last few days of my vacation that i was upgraded to the new room block the matress were hard but found the staff friendly in so much to help with any complaints. the buffet breakfast i found lacking in quality of a 4 star rating especially the hot food greasy bacon overcooked scambled egg.not a salad in sight!! The 5 star view from the swimming pool was something to remember but on the other points i would not consider returning at the price i paid.

“ Top Tip: beaches were fine if you can find some sand to lie on not cluttered with row to row of sunbeds At 8 euros a time!!!

“ Staff and accommodation very nice. Maid came in every day and tidyed room and put fresh towels. Hotel very clean and lovely breakfast.

“ Top Tip: Maratha Beach is lovely. food at Big Bad Wolf very nice and reasonably priced.

“ The pool and outside eating area of the hotel are very attractive, and it is in a good location for the best beaches on the island. The interior of the hotel is less attracive and the public and older parts of the hotel could benefit from some refurbishment. Our room suffered from a slightly eccentric electrical supply (when we used a hairdryer the supply toour rooom failed completely each time). There are no lifts in the hotel but the staff are excellent, very friendly and very quick to respond to any request for assistance. There is little or no entertainment at the hotel so it would not suit all tastes, but for a beach or family holiday it is excellent. The White View restaurant may not serve the best food on the island or the cheapest, but the views, and especially the sunsets, are fantastic.

“ Top Tip: The Koukounaries beaches are wonderful - beautiful sand and very warm clean bathing. The public loos there are absolutely spotless. Big Banana beach can get very busy in July and August from mid afternoon onwards and may not be to all tastes; it is however a beautiful beach.

Scuna restaurant, on the seafront in Skiathos Town, despite good reviews and being a pretty place, was poor to say the least. It was extremely expensive, the service was bad and the food was not what was described in the menu, when it eventually arrived. We were extremely disappointed when we went there and could not recommend it. Alexandros and Kampourelias restaurants were much better and cheaper, though perhaps less glamorous looking - the food at each restaurant was delicious.
