Perfect for young people. Room is standard and about 15 minutes from the strip. Ideal place to crash and you can use any other hotel pool no problem.

Top Tip: We used perkes hotel pool in the day just over the road and they were very friendly.

Angeliki studios isnt a hotel so if thats what your looking for steer clear. Its like a little apartment block with no reception just rooms with he key left in the door for you when you arrive so its nothing like booking a package holiday and if thats what you are used to and expecting you will be dissapointed.

However if your young and just want a place to crash then its perfect ... cheap clean and defo big enough for just 2 for the week. I has a corner room so i had 3 balconies not big or anything but great for letting a breeze through while i was getting ready! Ive stayed in workers accomodation abroad before and it kinda of reminded me a bit of that so i was more than happy with the basic facilities ... 2 beds a fridge kettle toaster and little oven thing!

Its about a 15 minute walk from the strip but most hotels are either that distance away or actually on the strip were you would get no sleep. Its not a bad walk in the day to the beach or on your way out it just seems like a mission on the way home when your feet hurt but to be honest its not that bad and its only 6 euro in a taxi i you cant be bothered by that point.

They recommend you use the facilities at olympia pool which is basically just round the corner and seems big and lively but i had friends staying at dimis/ pepes pool bar so i spent most of my holiday there. the good thing about laganas is you can use pretty much any pool at any hotel as long as you buy a bottle of water or sumthing from the bar.

The hotel and its owner were both OK, but the internet ad for it you have had lied! I chose the hotel because it was supposed to be close to the beach (the ad said 20 metres), but I had to walk for about 35minutes on the main road until I got to the beach! Sounds more like 4 kilometres! You should correct that immediately.
However, that was not the fault of the owner, who was ok, the rooms were new, clean, everything was functioning and I had no problem there.

I had a big big problem with the transport. I was supposed to be picked up at the airport by a shuttle bus, but there was just a hectic lady who told me to get on a big coach. She also gave me a number to call day or two before my departure so that they could pick me up and get me to the airport. Ok, I thought. The coach however, dropped me off at a different place (my studios were called Angeliki, they dropped me off at one called Agelliki ..). I had to take a taxi, therefore, pay additional 6 euros to get to my accommodation. And later I found that the number the lady gave me was not existing! I phoned it from both my cell phones, pay phones and even from another hotel. Didn't work. So again, I had to order a taxi to go to the airport, because I couldn't be sure whether they would come for me or not, since even for the first time they didn't know where my accommodation was. What made me terribly angry was that on the last day, the shuttle bus came - of course I had no means of knowing when they would come, and I already had the taxi ordered, so I just had to send them away. This should be handled with much more care! I had no representative to talk to, but I was lucky enough to find a rep from Thomas Cook in one of the other hotels, so I talked about things with her. But this gave me some nerves. At best, I would like the money for my transport, because it was paying 26 pounds for NOTHING.

Top Tip: I found a nice taverna situated directly on the beach where they served the real traditional Greek food, unlike in the other restaurants which were serving pizzas, jacket potatoes or even McDonalds and the likes. I went on two boattrips which were both great ( I stopped at a village called Keri, which was divine). However, I also found out that I stayed at a resort that was completely artificial and build up only for tourists, British mainly (which is a pitty, because there was not much traditional about it). But I found my way around this.

Just off the main road in Laganas but in a quiet area. About a 20-25 minute walk to the beach. But you do pass many bars & restaurants on the way. Typical Greek apartment, basic but comfortable.
