“ The Villa Colonial is a very attractive site on the edge of the Spanish Colonial city of Antigua, in Guatemala. The food is good, the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms spotlessly clean. There is a pleasant swimming pool but it loses the sun by late afternoon. It is a 25 minute walk to the centre of Antigua, which is fine during the day, but at night a taxi is advisable at about £3.50.
