“ Nice but slightly small hotel pleasantly close to the Eiffel Tower. Staff are helpful and speak English but were mildly difficult to communicate with at times. The room was good and entirely as expected. Generally a good place to stay.

“ Hotel staff all very polite and helpful (especially Andrew on reception). We had a free upgrade on arrival which was very welcome. Good breakfast with a selection of hot and cold food. Didn't eat evening dinner in hotel so cannot comment on that.

The Couvent des Minimes is set in a 17th century Flemish style listed building, formerly a convent. Renovated, then re-opened as a hotel in 1990, it has retained many historical features such as cloisters with vaulted ceilings and original red-brick walls. The restaurant offers a magical place to dine under a magnificent glass roof, and has seasonal cuisine based on fresh produce. Near this very special place is the piano bar, which invites you to try a selection of champagnes, whiskies and cocktails. All bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and beautifully furnished.

Hotel with 43 rooms equipped with flat screen TVs, bathrooms and free wifi. The rooms were partially renovated in 2008. Breakfast is served from 7 to 9 AM on weekdays and 8 to 10 AM on weekends. We can accommodate special requests for groups that need to leave earlier. Reception Open 7 AM to 11 PM. If you plan to arrive later than this, please call the hotel before the reception closes. Restaurants Restaurant open Monday to Friday for dinner only, from 7 to 9:30 PM, closed on Sundays. Capacity 26 people. We can accommodate groups by setting up the meeting room as a restaurant. Nearby Eurotunnel access 5 minutes away, 3 km from Calais city centre, 4 km from the train station, shopping nearby, the Opal Coast and beaches, the Lace Museum, nearby historical vestiges.
“ Stayed over for one night during a short trip to Calais through the tunnel. Access to and from the tunnel is very easy from this hotel. Room was very small and quite dated. I had booked one double room for one person and I still felt very cramped.
