“ A lovely stay in an interesting city, the staff couldn't do enough to help and it was very helpfully situated..
“ Top Tip: Boat trips are good, get a bus/boat combination and haggle on the price. They are desperate for the commission..

“ Wonderful hotel which was spotlessly clean with magnificent staff!! They always had a smile on their faces and could not have been more helpful and efficient. I must make a special mention of Tamas and Adel who were brilliant and made a few restaurant reservations for us as well as answering rather a lot of questions!! The older barman was a super cocktail maker and so friendly, he brought out peanuts and other snacks for our table as well as not adding on a service charge to the drinks!! Breakfast was great with bacon, sausages, omelette, fried and boiled eggs, rolls, croissants and pastries, bread, cheese, ham, jams, fruit and lots of other stuff...tasted great and, yet again, great staff!! Tea, coffee and mineral water were complimentary from 11am - 5pm which was brilliant when we returned for a rest before going out for dinner. The rooms had everything we needed and there was an ironing room on the first floor. We faced over the courtyard (breakfast conservatory) so had a little balcony and it was lovely and quiet. The rooms were very warm and we only had to put the heating on a couple of times for only a few minutes...we even had to open the door to cool it down!! Now, who would expect that in December/January!!!!! It was not uncomfortable in any way and we found the bed great..nice firm mattress and we asked for another couple of pillows which were there in no time!! It's in a great location..nice quiet street but safe and very near Parliament. We absolutely loved this hotel and, if in Budapest again, will look at this hotel first!!!! Koszonom Hotel Parlament!!!!! :)
“ Top Tip: Zsambamacska (recommended by the hotel) were a wonderful tradition Hungarian restaurant in Lovag Utca with very reasonable prices. Try the tiger prawns starter and pork dishes!! Pomo D'Oro is a fantastic Italian restaurant which was definitely a little bit more upmarket than the standard but you didn't pay prices to match, excellent value and beautifully cooked food..everyone said it was their best meal of the trip!! Do use the hop on/hop off buses to see Budapest...it cost 4500huf (around £13.50) for a ticket which was free to use the next day too...meaning you can fit everything you want to see in. Try a Pina Colada in the hotel bar. Yes, it costs a couple of pounds more than elsewhere but, especially when made by the older barman, is a fantastic cocktail!!!
