Oldie worldy east European at its very finest.
Stay there for the baths.
Histotic in every sense.
Great value as with a room, you get entrance to a piece of history with free enty to the 19th century spa; one of Europe's most glorious.
My room was a shoe box and pretty dated.
But only me for one night and having got there very late at night as it had a clean bed and a shower, who cares if curtains and furtinure were as old as the hotel?
Staff excellent; very friendly.
Excellent breakfast overlooking Danube.

Lovely hotel with many interesting architectural features. Staff friendly and helpful. On arrival the safe didn't work - fixed within less than an hour of reporting it. Both restaurants superb - particularly good meal at the Brasserie on our last night. The Spa is a seperate concern but hotel guests have free access - it's a must. We walked to most of the major attractions (12 year old in tow) - the castle and chain bridge, Citadella, Basilica and Synagogue were all within a 20min walk. We took the tube to the park - station within walking distance and fast, frequent and efficient service. For those less keen on walking the tram passes right outside the hotel.
Can't fault the flights, transfers or airport parking - did what they said when they said.

Top Tip:
Make the effort to climb Gellert Hill to the Citadella - burn off that buffet breakfast!
Nice restaurant next to the hotel - turn right out of the door and across a side street.
