“ This hotel was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful. Most things were lovely, the breakfast room was very small though and we had to queue at the door before being seated. The one other criticism is that there is no shower curtain so the floor does get quite wet while in the shower. Apart from that everything was spot on and i would definitely recommend to others.
“ Top Tip: There is a great bar called 'the wreck pub' about 5minute walk from the hotel, the beer here is much much cheaper than the other more touristy bars, literally half the price and taste just as good. It's a really cool looking bar, they have old fashioned motorbikes on the wall, cool old pictures, tyres hanging from the ceiling. It really is funky and should be seen.

“ Clean hotel in a great position right in the pedestrian area of Vaci Utca and only 2 minutes from the Danube. The rooms are a bit small with no tea/coffee making facilities but plenty of cafes nearby.
“ Top Tip: Better restaurants are away from Vaci Utca.

“ This is my 3rd visit to Budapest and I have just spent 8 nights in this Hotel which is situated in the centre of Budapest on the Vaci Utca so the situation is lovely, and from the photos also looks chic and modern ~ BUT ~ apart from a few rooms facing the street the majority of rooms face an internal wall or the elevator, hence you do not have fresh air or even know what the weather is like outside! Strange set-up really. Having said that I had a street room for 3 nights but the aircon wasn't working and even with 2 desk top fans, the room was 27 degrees before 10am in the morning! So I was glad to have an inside room that had working aircon!! The rooms are immaculately kept. The beds are very firm and the pillows are hugely high and lumpy although there are also small cushions you can use, and the bathroom is unusual in that it doesn't have a shower screen or curtain so having a shower inevitably soaks the bathroom floor even if you try not to the water flows off your elbows! So after a shower you have to use your towels to soak up the waterl? .. Breakfasts were quite plentiful, ie cheese/salami/salad + scrambled egg and frankfurter type sausages - cereal - fruit juices - and various breads/buns but on the days I did go for breakfast I did go fairly early as heard the stock is not always replenished. All in all a good location but apart from the reception desk (where the staff are very helpful) and a breakfast room on the 6th floor, you are at the end of the day really just "renting a room" as there are no other facilities, so if you like to have a drink at a bar or sit and chat to other guests in the foyer, then this Hotel is not for you.
“ Top Tip: The hop on hop off tour bus 6,000 HUF = £18 is an excellent deal as you alos get 2 tickets for boat trips on the Danube, along with a booklet with lots of other good discounts, so a good deal! ... But my favourite has to be the Fokelore Evening (16,000 HUF = £48) by City(?) and has to be the best Excursion I have EVER been on! They pick you up from your hotel at 6.30pm, take you on a guided tour until 8pm, then you go to the venue which is on an island (not Margaret island) for your 3 course dinner including free wine/water during which you are entertained by musicians and dancers for 2 hours solid, and the dancers are absolutely amazing!! Then afterwards the guide takes you to Buda castle for a night view of Budapest, then back to your hotel, say about 11.30pm. Was really fantastic, I most definitely recommend it!! “ Staff at the reception in this hotel were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was reasonable; breads, sausages, scrambled egg, cold meats, tea/coffee, cereals etc. Great location on main shopping street with lots of restaurants on the door step. Although some were over priced and just a short stroll away there were many more alot cheaper and sometimes nicer. Lovely italian called ' mamma' on route to Basilica, very reasonable too.
“ Top Tip: Ask for a room with a view, they are much more spacious. The rooms at the back seem to look back into the hall way of the hotel - can be a bit claustrophobic. We found the airport shuttle service to be very convenient as we arrived late at night, we paid return and the hotel arranged the return transfer back to the airport. We just booked it at the desk in the airport arrivals (just before the doors) but think you save a bit by booking online. It cost about £27 return for 2.
