“ The hotel was very comfortable and friendly. The supplied a good choice of breakfast so there is something to suit all diets. The bests were very comfortable and the room clean. We would definitely stay there again. The staff were all wonderful and helpful and very friendly relaxed people.

Fosshotel Baron has a central yet quiet location, within a few minutes’ walk of Reykjavik’s main street, Laugavegur, and the waterfront promenade. It offers en suite rooms and apartments and a generous breakfast buffet. All of Baron’s accommodation options are equipped with satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. The 2-bedroom apartments feature a small kitchenette. Some rooms have elegant late 1800s-style décor, while others offer views of the Atlantic Ocean. The breakfast buffet includes freshly baked bread, make-your-own waffles and a wide variety of fish. Drinks and snacks are available in the bar. Staff can help arrange excursions to attractions such as the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss and the Geysir. On-site facilities include a free internet computer in the lobby. Within 10 minutes' walk is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as whale watching excursions. The shuttle bus for Keflavik Airport stops right outside the hotel. Free public parking spaces are found nearby.
“ The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.The hotel bar was very quiet even during "happy hour", which is from 5pm to 7 pm each day. The rooms were on the small side but fine for a short stay. The location was excellent, only 2 minutes from the sea and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Reykjavik

“ This hotel was much better than Reykjavik Centrum which was twice the price due to its location. The rooms were really clean, of a high standard and the food was excellent. If you go on organised trips you get picked up here anyway; taxis are about 200KR to Reykavik airport. If you need to get to the city it would cost about the same by taxi.

“ Really cosy and warm with friendly staff and well sized rooms. The bathroom is separate (though room-specific, close and locked) so some may prefer other options but we found this to be fine. It's excellently located on the main street and close to all the bars, restaurants, shorefront and offices for booking excursions.

“ This hotel was "funky" in its design. The rooms were very trendy and stylish. Although on the small side, had everything you needed. The breakfasts were very good and all the staff were very friendly. It is difficult to imagine having a better location in Reykjavik, being next to the shops and the major attractions.
