“ Hotel near town centre, staff very helpful (most spoke English), clean and tidy, quiet area.
“ Top Tip: A 10 minute walk to the new opera house which was quite deceiving from the outside but very upmarket.

“ The Hotel Bjork was exceptional at a very low cost. It was very clean, comfortable and modern. Usual room facilities...tea/coffee/TV/etc. The buffet breakfast was good and there was lots of it. Staff were very helpful with booking Flybus to airport and providing coffee and sandwiches for early start(0430).

Top Tip:
Reykjavik is a special place all on it's own. The locals are amazingly friendly and seem to like any excuse to party. A special mention for "The English Pub" and "The Icelandic Bar." Great time in both. Would love to visit again soon.
A trip outside the city is a must. No idea what it would be like in summer but winter certainly makes the landscape look and feel spectacular.

“ This hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The staff were always very helpful when asking for advice on where to go/ and eat and always gave us directions using their maps (very useful). Breakfast was usual continental style with a varied selection of cold meats, cereals, bread and rolls. All in all excellent value for money. Was a little further from centre than would have liked, but only because we had bad weather (blizzards, snow) which made walking a challenge.

Top Tip:
Would recommend Restaurant withing walking distance from Bjork hotel - Harrys Oriental (Filipino restaurnat) - great meat, salmon - and good value. Very small and friendly, next to Hotel Reykjavik at Raudararstigur 37.
Also would recommend Seafood Restaurant Sjavarbarinn - near Reykavik harbour.
Great fish and chips and seafood buffet. They will also pick up hotel guests for dinner free beteen 17:30 and 20:00 just tel. 772 3575.

“ The staff were excellent and very helpful both before and during our stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious and always warm and clean and had a good view of the mountains. The walk into Reykjavic centre takes about 25 minutes, however you come to shops and restaurants after about 5 minutes.
“ Top Tip: The Red Chilli Restaurant is only 5 minutes walk away and does tasty mexican food at a reasonable price.
