“ The room and foyer of the hotel are comfortable and modern with clean lines. The bar food and cooked breakfast were not particularly good, however the porridge and DIY waffles were excellent! Staff were friendly and helpful.
“ Top Tip: For a snack or light lunch go to Sea Manor at the harbour. It's a very basic fish restaurant (plank tables and home made stools) and the lobster soup was well worth seeking out.

“ A problem to begin with re my request to be near reception or lift but the very capable manager of the reception sorted it out. Good buffet and attentive service. Good for both holidays and business. The reception was able to obtain some theatre tickets for LesMiserables in Reykjavik which had otherwise sold out.
“ Top Tip: Try and visit when the Iceland OPera or top singer Gardar Thor Cortes is performing. Ask the locals for not so expensive restaurants where they eat. Askur not far from the hotel is one. Plenty of music of all kinds to suits everyone

Very Good

“ The hotel is very welcoming. An older block of accomodation has been linked to a newer block by a tunning atrium featuring stained glass by local artist Leifur Bridefjord. The breakfast is excellent. There is free WiFi in the reception area but you have to pay for it in your room. My room was older but still comfortable. There is plenty of natural hot water (which smells strangely of sulphur). The hotel in not located in the centre of the city and this is its only down side but the city is not huge and a brisk walk would get you where you want to be.
