  • This was a great place to stay for the weekend, the room was clean and the bathroom recently improved. The staff were friendly, you can borrow a hair dryer from reception if needed. The full Irish cooked breakfast was great! Just what we needed for a busy day in the city. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, in Dublin 1 and in the most desirable area of the city center, the Kingfisher Townhouse is just 60 yards from O'Connell Street and Henry Street. This makes it a perfect base from where to explore the city. Within walking distance you can find the two principal shopping and tourist hot-spots. No taxi’s required, everything needed in Dublin is only a leisurely walk away.

The Kingfisher is also famous for its award winning breakfasts specializing in the traditional "Full Irish". The Kingfisher Restaurant is featured in the Top 100 Restaurants Guide of Dublin for 2005 and 2006, reaffirming its reputation for the highest quality standards in food and service. Nothing is far from the Kingfisher; museums, art galleries, Trinity College, Leinister House, St. Stephens Green, Grafton Street, Henry Street, The Guiness Brewery, Rotunda Hospital, Croke Park, Lansdowne, O`Connell Street and The Spire.

The rooms are presented in a warm and refreshing style, to give both a relaxed and comfortable stay. All the rooms are fully equipped with TV and video, a safe, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and most have a fitted kitchenette

Good

We had a really nice four days staying at the Kingfisher Hotel , staff were friendly and helpful , rooms where nice , tidy and clean and included tea & Coffee.

The only things we were not to keen on was the size of the shower cubicle , it was tiny and the shower was so powerful and you could not really move the shower head making it hard to shower as it just blasted you in the face.
The bed was ok but could have been a bit more comfortable ( softer mattress ) and we had a room that faced out on to the street which meant we did get a lot of noise from drunk revelers in the early hours of the morning.

However these small things did not ruin a nice stay at an overall nice hotel.

Top Tip: It was really close to the main street in Dublin ( O'connell street ) and very close to the first stop for the Hop-on - hop off bus which takes you on a guide tour of the city and all major locations.

Top Tip: The Parnell bar & grill at the end of the road is good value, they also do nice cocktails and live music at the weekend.

The staff were very welcoming and knowledgable. The room was lovely, modern, clean my only problem waste shower was a little small but it worked fine. The staff next doormat the restaurant were brilliant and the food was delicious.

Top Tip: Eat at the restaurant next door as it is good quality food and at a good price as well. I would recommend buying a ticket for the Dublin bus as it gives you two days worth of travel for the price of one and the stops are very close to the hotel and lots of the main attractions and tourist spots.
