Brunelleschi Hotel was absolutely stunning - so elegantly decorated with a respectful balance of modern decor and Florence history.
The location was spectacular - no more than a minute walk to the Dome and the best ice-cream parlour just around the corner, 'Grom'.
The staff are absolutely fantastic - so accommodating and friendly with a wealth of knowledge of the city so perfect for recommendations with regards to restaurants and excursions!
A truly wonderful hotel and city.
“ Top Tip: Grom is the best ice cream parlour with all ice cream kept covered in steel containers for the freshest taste.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived late and the night reception was very welcoming and helpful as was the night porter who came to the end of the street to meet the taxi and help with our cases.
We were shown to our rooms which were very contemporary and beautifully furnished. The rooms that we had chosen were the superior executive rooms and they more than met our needs.
Breakfast was very leisurely and relaxed with a large selection of farye. The breakfast room was on the first floor and was stunning with intricate stain glass windows.
The only negative was the side of the hotel our rooms were on was directly on a street so there was quite a bit of noise, this was out of the control of the hotel and would deter us from a return visit.
“
Top Tip:
All the top sites to visit are less than a five minute walk from the hotel.
Make sure that you get a guided tour of the Duomo, it is free entry but we gave a 10 euro donation as it was well worth it.
The Boboli gardens behind the petit palace across the river Arno are impressive and offer the most spectacular views across the city of Florence and to the hills beyond.
A must is an excursion to Siena, San Gimignano and wine and cheese tasting it cost 55 euros per person but the experience was priceless.

“ Top class hotel, great room with all mod cons. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lounge restaurant limited menu but good traditional food, did not try the main restaurant. Lacks an external terrace for drinks etc. No complaints, a restful few days. Central location with all the main tourist attractions within walking distance.
“ Top Tip: Florence is expensive so avoid the main piazzas for food and drink. Many good places away from these areas. Try the "enoteche" (singular enoteca) for good wines and great nibbles. Prices reasonable.
