I chose this hotel because I needed one near to Ciampino airport for one night.
From the airport,it took an hour and a half to reach the hotel because I had to take a bus (from bus stop 2) to Anagnina, then another bus from there to the Arcadia, the fare for both journeys being 2 euros,as opposed to paying 15 euros for a taxi. As the crow flies, the Arcadia can not be more than two miles from Ciampino;via Anagnina,it's more like six miles.
The hotel itself lies on the south-eastern outskirts of Rome,in a mainly residential area. There was only one place to eat (the hotel does not have either a restaurant or a bar),this being the Jolly Pizza,a bar/restaurant close to the hotel, which served basic Italian fare,at very reasonable prices.
The hotel reception staff spoke good English and gave me a room on the first floor which was spacious and confortable, with a well-proportioned bathroom.
There was a t.v. but, although it showed various channels, the reception for many
of these was poor.
Breakfast consisted of various types of bread/croissants,ham,cheese,coffee/tea/fruit juice/mineral water and was adequate.
All in all,the hotel represented good value for the £26-50 + 2 euro city tax that I paid, although I would nor reccommend it for more than an overnight stay.
One of the staff kindly arranged me a shared shuttle (at no charge) to Anagnina metro station,a gesture which was much appreciated. It saved me just one euro but more importantly,a great deal of time.
“ Top Tip: The Jolly Pizza (mentioned above) is a good,value-for-money restaurant. It isn't the Ritz-in fact it's fairly basic-but the meals are good and they don't skimp on the portions!

“ Walls are very thin, one can hear the talks next door. Located in a middle of nowhere, a bit too far from Rome. However, it has very friendly service, the people there is very helpful. It also has a good breakfast. Value for money.
“ Top Tip: No pub nor restaurant near by.
