The hotels location is very practical for a visit to Rome. A short walk down the Via Nazional will put you amongst Romes most popular and beautiful sites. The Via Nazional itself is probably the noisiest and ugliest road in central Rome. With lots of very average quality but over priced shopping. The hotel was also just average. It did the job, it was clean, but there was very little attention to detail. In our very small room we had foot prints on the walls, a cracked toilet seat and broken wardrobe doors. Not what we expected for the price or a claimed 4 star. We had an internal room with a view over the central courtyard that for the most part was used as a storage area for crates. The breakfast was good enough and the staff were friendly. Ultimately, it doesn't matter where you stay in Rome as long as you have a good location. A great hotel is just the icing on the cake and the International Palace did not do it for us.

Top Tip: Stay off the main roads, as many are ugly and lifeless. Take a good pocket map and venture down the side streets. Walking as the crow flies also makes the connection between the attractions much shorter.

we had a brilliant 5 day stay at the eurostar international palace i would definetly return to this hotel if i was ever going to visit rome again. its ideally located within walking distance from the trevi fountain and the colluseum. theres a eurospar just across the rod (though its quiet a busy road so be advised to use the zebra crossings)
we had a really relaxing holiday at this hotel and the staff made us very welcome and even swapped our rooms for the 1st floor on the day we arrived. we had 3 rooms booked at this hotel and we ended up being beside each other on our stay. i would recommend this hotel as its in the centre of things

The hotel room was very small and very warm (even in February!) as other people have said but it was more than adequate. It was a good base; we could walk to just about every site in 20 minutes and less. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly.

This hotel in the Via Nazionale is only a short walk from the main railway station and very close to the Repubblica metro station, so access to/from the airports is excellent. Access to most of the main attractions such as the Collosseo, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Vatican is also good - we walked to them all. It's on a busy street but we were at the back so there was little traffic noise. The double bedroom was rather small, if you had two large cases you'd struggle to find somewhere to put them, but the bathroom was relatively large! Breakfast was the fairly standard selection and included some hot options. This hotel was good value and we'd stay there again.

Top Tip: There is a very good value restaurant called Valentino's nearby in Via del Boschette but it doesn't have the name displayed! It is just a short distance walking from the junction with Via Nazionale on the right. Customers were more locals than tourists.
