This classically designed 4 star accommodation in the commercial and historical centre of the magnificent city of Rome provides the welcome guest with all that is necessary for a successful, enjoyable and even relaxing trip. From the Genova Hotel Rome our guests can easily reach some of the most important monuments of the eternal city, such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forums, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and Piazza Venezia. While the shopping lovers will find the best boutiques and shops on Via del Corso and Via Nazionale. All Rooms have the possibility of an internet connection as well as cable TV and are decorated in a classical and elegant style. The hotel is within walking distance of the Colosseum and Roman Forums as well as Termini Central station, which is the city's primary public transport hub.

The hotel in generally good, the room was clean and the breakfast - acceptable (although nowhere near the breakfast we had in a similar level hotel in Barcelona just a week earlier).
Also no free internet access is available. The hotel charges 5 euro for one hour or 10 euro for a three hours, which is a rip off.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Centaral railway station and other public transport connections, but the area around the hotel is not interesting and there is a lack of decent places to eat. At times it can be quite noisy in the room due to all the traffic and trams outside.
When considering this hotel (or any other hotel in Rome for that matter) remember, that whatever price you will be quoted, it won't include the Rome municipal tax which is 3 euro per person per night. In our case the total came to 36 euro, which had to be paid in cash upon check out (cards are not acceptable for this purpose) !

Hotel really well placed for the attractions. Excellent bus and metro links 5 minutes walk from hotel. Room was small but adequate (but we did only book a standard room) and kept clean and was comfortable. Some road noise in rooms facing the main road, on the first couple of floors. Ask for rooms on floors 3-5 and facing the inner court yard if you really need a quite room to sleep. Avoid 6TH floor as noise from air conditioning units and lift mechanism is a bit annoying. Buffet breakfast was good but coffee undrinkable.
If all recomendations were taken from above and you don't mind taking your own coffee (hot water available) I would be happy to recommend this hotel and would use it again myself.

The hotel was in a really good location, near to the terminal and bus stops, resturants, the hotel staff were really friendly and very helpful.
Room quite small but good for a base, would definately go back!
