Isa Hotel

“ Hotel is situated in an excellent spot - very close to the Vatican and yet within walking distance of the main sight -seeing attractions of Rome.The Prati district is also much quieter than the more central tourist spots,which are easily reached via the various bridges crossing the Tiber.Hotel was very modern and exceptionally clean - housekeeping staff being very "up to the mark" and indeed,very friendly.Breakfast was served in pleasant surroundings and was quite adequate for a buffet.I felt that the evening buffet, served on the terrace at a cost of 26 euros per person, was not such a good deal - vegetables served cold - and no choice of sweet !!! No wonder the place was empty.Better value could definitely be found elsewhere for dinner!!.Reception staff were average - answering questions when asked but with a preference not to appear too friendly. Knowing what to expect,and especially that beautiful comfy "four-poster" bed I would probably choose to stay at the Isa again if I happened to be in Rome.

“ Top Tip: The "within easy walking distance" of the Vatican was our main attraction - as there was simply so much to see.

“ The hotel is lovely and within walking distance to all the important sites in rome and about ten minutes to the main restuarant areas. The staff were pleasant however they were recieving bad feedback from almost all guests as the rooftop restuarant and bar was not open after breakfast at all as apparently the cook was on honeymoon and they had no one else !!!When guests asked to speak to the manager they were told he was not in Rome and that there was no one in charge. This was extremley disappointing as it meant that after a day sightseeing you had no choice but to go out as there was absolutely no where within the hotel even to have drink. I do not know of any other hotel any where in the world that does not provide a bar I had taken my daughter as a birthday suprise and i feel i paid over the odds for the facilities i had access to. If we had access to the roof terrace then i would have given this hotel a much higher rating.

“ The hotel was in a good area of Rome with numerous eateries and excellent shops close by. It was also within walking distance of historical sites. With the exception of just one guy on the reception desk, the rest of the staff were excellent i.e. the restaurant staff and our chambermaid. Our room was perfectly adequate, good air con and two balconies. Good bathroom. The breakfasts were excellent plus the evening buffet. Superb roof terrace. Alitalia flights fine in both directions. Hotel not really suitable for very elderly or disabled as the lift stopped at floor 5 and to access the roof terrace a short flight of stairs had to be negotiated. I would use TravelRepublic again.
