We had a lovely stay at this little gem of a hotel. We were very surprised at the quality of service, the hotel is immaculate, breakfast lovely and the staff very friendly. The hotel is in a good area in terms of location, with the Termini only two streets away, the trams running near by and also shops & restaurants on your doorstep.

We were grateful to the staff who stored our luggage on our last day, so we could enjoy our holiday right up to the last minute. Nothing was to much trouble.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel, which will surprise you with it's value for money then this is the one for you!

Top Tip: Enjoyed the food in the restaurant directly opposite the hotel. Food reasonably priced, good quality and served promptly.

Also buy your souvenirs closer to the hotel, especially on Via Cavour which is a lot cheaper than the shops in central Rome.

Roma Pass is also a must, saved us a lot of money, especially when combined with use of public transport.

The Hotel Serena in the centre of Rome was exactly what we had expected after reading the great reveiws on Travelrepublic....fantastic! Our room, though a bit on the small side, was immaculate and cleaned every day, and after all, we were only really in it for sleeping. The staff are friendly and helpful. We asked late one evening about how to get to Assisi the next day, the manager picked up the phone and that was it all organised for us, even down to being picked from from the hotel. He told us about the best places to go if we wanted a snack or a lovely evening meal, and the his recommendations were excellent! It is metres away from the Termini...great for trains, metro and buses.
We booked through Travelrepublic and it was plain sailing...or should I say flying, from there on in. We would highly recommend the Hotel Serena to stay and Travelrepublic to organise it all for you!

Top Tip: Il Saccio Restaurant round the corner for an evening meal and the Bar on the same street as the Hotel for a snack, tea, coffee or the best beer I have tasted.

The single room i had was small and very clean though sometimes the bath room had a smell like sewage when the guests above my room flashed their toilet! Other wise no other problems.
Hotel very near termini, so easy access to all transports links: metro, buses, trains.

Top Tip: good food just opposite hotel.
