This hotel is just what you need for a weekend in Rome, it couldn't be closer to the centre which is perfect to get to all the sites. Breakfast is included which sets you up for a good day of walking and sightseeing. Its not the fanciest but at the end of the day you shouldn't be spending that much time in your hotel when in Rome, its just a place to sleep and keep your stuff. You couldn't really ask for much more than what this hotel provides.

Top Tip: The Ristorante Santa Cristina Al Quirinale just round the corner from the hotel is delicious and reasonably priced with excellent staff. Also, the Rockodile bar around the corner does good beer for non touristy rates. Get the Rome Trip Advisor App for your smart phone - would have been lost without it.

This hotel is in a fantastic location to visit the main attractions in Rome - around a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and 5 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. In front of the hotel is the Piazza Venezia where you can catch the open top bus. The hotel itself is dated as described in the other reviews but it is clean and the staff are very friendly (the location is amazing!) The breakfast is fairly basic - choice of cereals, pastries, ham/cheese/bread. There is a safe in reception behind the desk (would have been better if there was one in the room) - Overall very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again!

Top Tip: Eating out was fairly expensive - a lot of places seemed to have a meal deal through the day so we tended to have a meal at lunch time and then had a snack at night. On the main shopping street - Via del Corso there is a fantastic little place that does a pizza take away - it's a bit like a pizza toastie! If you keeping walking up this road you eventually end up at the Spanish Steps. Next to the hotel is an Irish bar (we didn't get chance to go into here ) and there's a Scottish bar 'The Nags Head' down the road although it isn't run by Scottish people! It's worth mentioning that if you visit the Colosseum you should take your ID with you as you may get a discount and when visiting the Vatican you need to make sure you wear something with sleeves and long shorts or else you'll get turned away!

Fantastic location directly across from the Roman Forum. Right in the middle of all of the main sites - the Colosseum, the Trevino Fountain, the Pantheon and just on the Piazza Venetia. The main street via del Corso connects all of these together and made it so easy to find your bearings.

The room wad cleaned every day, bed made and changed and fresh towels. Staff very helpful and friendly. Definite recommend. A little noisy outside on Sat night but nothing that disturbed us.

Top Tip: A couple of half beers in a bar on Piazza Venezia cost 18 euros!! Normal price elsewhere was more like 10. Go off the main drag and wander around some of the main streets, some great restaurants there
