“ I chose this hotel as it is only 10-15 mins away from the airport. You can catch a bus from the airport $50 Jamaican or $1US and are every 20 mins or so. A cab would cost $15-20US. Nice quiet location looking over the bay to Kingston.

“ We were moved from room to room on our arrival as they hadn't grasped the fact that there were five of us, so every room they tried to put us in didn't have enough beds. Eventually they did put us in two rooms and promised to bring a third bed in for our child. The bed never materialised, so when I called to find out what was happening they said that they didn't have an extra bed and there was nothing they could do. They did give me some sheets so my child could sleep on the sofa. On our return back to England we stayed there again, and again we were moved three times before we could settle on a room that was ready and that would accomodate us. The staff at the bar and restaurant were friendly and the location was perfect for a stop over before moving onto other parts of the island, but you have to be pretty laid back to cope with the disorganisation.
“ Top Tip: There is absolutely nothing in Port Royal. However the local bus does stop just outside the door, it comes every 20 minutes or so and it is very cheap and it will take you into Kingston and the airport.
