“ i stayed in rooms february 2012 and must admit i was pleasantly surprised for the money i paid. although there was a few flaws . but overall it has a lovely beach which is shared with jamaica grande. i would stay there again in the future. staff are also nice and pleasent

Hotel is very basic,
The main advantages is the location, right on the beach and near the centre of Ocio Rios and felt safe. Seems at a reasonable price compare to all inclusive. Good hotel to stay in if we want to use it as a base. i would stay there for a week tho as the breakfast is boring, juice, coffee, toast and cereals only, oh yes sorry there a two pieces of fruits...
Staff is helpful, but not always friendly, depends on their mood but they do the job.
Hotel is clean, I had a delux on the third floor. Shocked by the fact there are no lifts so be aware if you can't walk up the stairs.
Overall, the hotel is good for basic needs, on reasonable fee nothing else.

On arrival, the receptionists were very polite and booking into the hotel was straight forward. However, after going into the room I noted that the bathroom and bath had not been cleaned as body hair and scum were left in the bath. Accordingly, I notified reception about this problem. The reception's immediate response was that the bathroom was old. I quickly reassured her that I was not commenting on the tired state of the resort, I was reporting a dirty bath. I was quickly assured that someone would investigate the problem. Sometime later a man came to inspect the bath, but he seems not too concerned about the problem. I told him that I wanted the bath clean as I would like to take a shower and I did not want to step into a dirty bath. The man left and returned to the room with some cleaning products and then stood and sprayed the bath. He was about to use the shower to wash the bath but I pointed out that it needed to be washed with a cloth and not simply spayed. He then asked me if I had a cloth to clean the bathas he did nto have a cloth. I told him that I did not have a cloth to clean the bath as I had only checked in the hotel and I did not know that it was the guess responsibility to provide cleaning cloths to wash the dirty bath.
He then left to get a cleaning cloth to wash the bath. He did a very poor job as it was not thoroughly cleaned as I noted that there were still some scums and dirt6 left in the bath. By this I felt that he was not going to make any more effort to clean the bath to the standadrd I had expected. I was left feeing very disappointed with the poor standard of cleanliness. My sister who was also staying at the resort with my nice reported the same problem that the bathroom was dirty. As it was the first night at the report, I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness.
“ Top Tip: I found a local market near the resort which had a large selection of souvenirs which including painting and carvings depicting Jamaican heritage culture and history. Prices appear reasonable, but found that I could negotiate with the stall holders were prices appeared over inflated
