Had a very good stay at Club Ambiance - the check in was only at 3pm so as we had arrived at 12pm we were kindly offered to go and have some lunch (all inclusive buffet and drinks) which was a very nice gesture.
The room was clean and spacious with a very large queen size bed and personal fridge in each room.
The bathroom was a bit on the small size but practical anyhow.
The hotel and rooms are dated and could do with being refurbished and freshen up.
The entertainment provided were varied and fun to watch (not one to join in!) - I would definitely recommend being present on a wednesday for "reggae day".
The bar offered a large variety of cocktails available until 11pm everyday.
The food comprised of breakfast / lunch / diner and late snacks which were varied in order to provide something for everyone's taste.
All in all I would recommend the hotel and would be happy to go back myself

“ if you are looking for a 5 star plastic piece of America stuck in the beautiful island of Jamaica do not go to Club Ambiance. But if you want to feel you are really in Jamaica - Club Ambiance is the hotel for you. This was our second time of visiting the Club Ambiance - we were last there 5 years ago - the staff remembered us and said "welcome home" when we returned. Most of the hotel guests have been there before which speaks volumes for the hotel. Some had been there more than 10 times - OK so Club Ambiance not a 5 star hotel and we usually stay in 5 star hotels in other parts of the world. I feel that the hotel is underated and could easily reach 4 star - so dont know who gives out these star ratings. We chose to go back there this January due to the fact we had such a bad year in 2010 - we knew it was just the place for total R and R with friendly staff, lovely surroundings and wonderful food. It is like a small club with a family feel to it all. You can wear whatever you like and no-one gives a second look (unlike sandals etc where you have to dress for dinner etc - and who wants that on holiday?) The resident band played most nights - reggae etc ....... imagine sitting under the stars eating wonderful food listening to music to chill to. The hotel has theme nights - loved the Wednesday which was Jamaica Day - bque on the beach at lunchtime listening to reggae, another bque in the evening with exquisite jamaican food. For those that want it there is a nightclub in the hotel which rocks until the early hours - hotel has all that one needs on holiday. I really do not wish to give too much away about Club Ambiance - it is our little piece of heaven on earth and since only a small hotel do not want mass exodus out there! We will be going back there again this year. Can't wait.
