“ This hotel is a bargain. At £15 per night for the 2 of us it doesn't get much cheaper and with a good breakfast buffet too! I was a bit worried what we would get for this price before arriving. Hotel modern, room, simple, big light, airy and with a fridge and TV and shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. About 25mins walk to the centre of Riga or 10min bus ride. Located in a quiet area. The breakfast buffet was adequate. All in all a good deal. you don't get much better value for your money.

“ Top Tip: Go to local bars and cafes around the hotel..not being in the centre they are just as good and half the price

“ A nice clean and modern hotel but with few facitlites except for the breakfast room. My room was a nice size on the first floor. Each room has two beds and a fridge (useful but unusual for hotel rooms). The shower room is of a good size and the television picked up about sever or eight different channels. I did not see and did not ask, but I saw no lift. Hence, if you have difficulty getting up stairs, this hotel will not be for you. The breakfast was adequate and there should be something for most tastes but t is basic with limited choice. It is served daily from 7.30 until 10am. If you want to go in to town, leave the hotel and walk up to the traffic lights, cross over this first road and continue straight up Iela Sporta and turn right for the bus stop. Buse 11 and trolley bus 3 go into town. Each ticket costs ,70 (around 90 pence) of a Lat so it is not cheap when you are getting on and off after just a few stops but use your Euro card on long distance rides as spot checkes do often take place. I was there only for four nights and the bus was checked over by inspectors twice. in Tallin nobody ever wants to see a bus ticket but in Riga, never leave home without one!

“ Top Tip: Getting here to the hotel from the airport is quite straight forward. Leave the airport and buy a Euro card (a twenty times Euro card costs just over 9 Lats) from the newspaper shop near to the Departures entrance. Take bus 22 to town and alight when the bus turns right by the Stockman Department Store. Cross the road and take either a number 3 trolleybus or a number 11 bus. Get off when the announcer calls out 'Arena'. Just leave the bus and cross the street and walk down any of the side roads towards the stadium. The hotel is located to the left hand side from the ice hocky stadium. Take bus 21 for the Automobile Museum and tram 11 for the zoo. If you are there in the Summer, go to the railway station and buy a return ticket to majori. The sand is lovely and it takes half an hour by train to get there. The ticket costs little more than 2 Lats and is well worth the trouble in getting out of the city-even for just a few hours.

“ excellent location if as i was you are going to a concert at the arena riga,other than that it is a bit out of the centre,and public transport is 5-10 minute walk away.perfectly clean,warm and welcoming.probably on a par with holiday inn express,travelodge quality.breakfast standard continental offering,perfectly adequate.all in all no complaints,especially happy about the short walk back after the rammstein gig.

“ Top Tip: arena riga,excellent venue for gigs,especially if you splash out for fanzone tickets.beer and food inside same as outside,£2 for a pint,pleasant surprise compared to the rip offs we suffer in the uk.
