We had a pleasant stay at The Hotel Albert. Staff friendly. Buffet breakfast was good, though did run out of white bread on one day and yoghurt, make sure you have breakfast earlier than 10:00. Food was of a good standard and restaurant area clean.
Excellent penthouse bar and friendly staff, excellent views of the city, if you don't mind heights, small balcony if you are a smoker;smoking rooms available, receptionist did ask our preference.
The Hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from old Riga town. Loved this city, very clean and relaxing. There are many bars with good food. The beer and food prices are very reasonable, so spoil yourself. Public transport is very good and cheap.
“ Top Tip: We visited a local beach at Dubulti by train, though quite slow and does stop alot, but very cheap, it's about 30-35 mins fro Riga, which isn't too bad, the beach itself was beautiful and very long, as far as the eye could see, I dipped my toe in the sea, that really wasn't that Baltic! We would definietly go back there again, many more things to see and do.

“ This was my first visit to Riga & it was great. The staff at The Hotel Albert were very helpful & friendly & i would certainly recomend this hotel to anyone. The breakfast was very good & the views from the top floor restaurant are well worth taking the lift for!
“ Top Tip: There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the old town so your not likely to go hungry!

“ A very pleasant hotel. Staff friendly, room clean and a general good atmosphere. Situated in a quiet part of Riga but walking distance from restaurants and shops.

Top Tip:
A trip to to beach at Jurmala worth a visit. Train ride very cheap.
Restaurant Cili Pica; big variety on the menu from pizza's to nice salads and nice drinks too and not expensive.

“ tthe albert in riga was one of the best hotels my husband and i have ever stayed in the rooftop bar had panoramic views over the city the level of service and cleanliness was equal to a 5 star hotel in any country i will certainly visit in the near future
“ Top Tip: there were several v good restaurants in the area and we visited jurmala beach which was only 30 mins on the train the prices were v reasonable for trains and restaurants
