Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi is located close to Laman Padi Langkawi, Pantai Cenang Beach, and Cenang Mall. Underwater World is also a point of interest near this spa hotel.

Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi's restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel also has a coffee shop/café and a grocery store. A swim-up bar, a poolside bar, and a bar/lounge are open for drinks. Room service is available 24 hours a day. The hotel serves a complimentary breakfast. Recreational amenities include a children's pool, outdoor tennis courts, a health club, a spa tub, and a sauna. The property's full-service health spa has body treatments, massage/treatment rooms, facials, and beauty services. “ The hotel is in a good location with 3 swimming pools, the beach, gym, leisure centre and restaurant. Excellent buffet breakfast and food in general. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a refurbishment going on at the moment which is badly needed as the rooms are looking very tired. On arrival we had a free upgrade from a garden room to a poolside room which was very welcome. Food and drinks in the hotel are approximately four to five times the price you would pay by venturing out of the hotel.
“ Top Tip: Walk for 10 minutes to the main drag and you will find many excellent bars/restaurants significantly cheaper than the hotel. The Chinese Fish restaurant is excellent. We ate there twice and both times the bill was under 90 ringgit (£19) for food and drinks.

Was supposed to have Lakeside View Got a poolside view. Where we were had not yet been updated furnishings very old and tired.
Saving grace the staff were all without exception all extremely helpful and pleasant.

“ This is a beautiful place to stay. Each room is like its own cabin, positioned around the spacious resort. It never feels overcrowded and there is lots of room by the pool and the beach which is just a short stroll away from any cabin. The food is excellent and I highly recommend the beach buffet in the evenings. I went here with two friends. We are all in our 20s and really enjoyed it. Maybe not the place for anyone looking for nightlife but relaxing and fun all the same.
“ Top Tip: We were travelling in Malaysia when someone suggested a visit to Langkawi... it you're planning a similar trip, get a boat from the harbour in Georgetown, Pennang ...really cheap and gets you there in two hours... taxi was very cheap to the hotel too.

Very good location set in lovely gardens back from the beach. Very pleasant and spacious accommodation but begining to look a little tired round the edges - things like the bathrooms could certainly do with updating. Some other agencies have the resort listed as 5 star which it isn't.
We hired bikes on two occassions and they really were not in a very good condition.
We arrived at mid day and had to wait for more than two hours before our accommodation was ready but they did give us an upgrade as compensation.
Location is within 5mins walking distance of lots of places to eat out in the evening at very prices.

Top Tip:
Taxis were very cheap and it made a nice change not to have to barter over the fare every time you took one - they all charge the same rate but, unless you are on your return journey to the airport, it's worth walking over to the taxi rank on the other side of the road outside the hotel as it's a bit cheaper than arranging one through the hotel.
The half day island hopping trips are really not worth bothering with.
