“ The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. All requests were met with courtesy, restaurant bookings were made efficiently etc. The dining rooms, bar and lounge were attractive. I travel extensively in my work and I was very impressed with this hotel.

Constructed as a palace in the 16th century, the building was transformed a few years ago into this small, tasteful, and fully air-conditioned hotel. On offer are a total of 33 rooms spread over five floors. Facilities include an attractive lobby area with a reception desk open around the clock and lift access. Dining options include a café, two bars, and two restaurants. In addition, guests may take advantage of the cosy wine cellar and the reading room.
“ The Hotel was well placed for the local attractions and bus station, excellent views from the 5th floor Restaurant. I would have given a higher mark but the shower attachment didn't work and despite it being reported it wasn't fixed. It was not possible to use the bath as the defective bath plug allowed water to escape at the same speed as the tap tried to fill the bath.

“ I liked the staff in the hotel and this is the one thing that would encourage me to go back. There were a number of things that the hotel needed, although a re-furb is happening this year and next in relation to 25 of the rooms.
