“ No great view unless overlooking the pool, but how long do you spend in a hotel room - just sleeping and showering. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

“ This is a `well worn` 3 star hotel with friendly staff. It is a pity you have lost `Joseph` in the Hotel Bar as he was an excellent member of staff. The Hotel has more + than - going for it as it has so many regulars returning. I requested the 2nd floor in the main block and landed up on the 5th floor ?. I wonder if they read my `special request. Never mind- I will return in November.
“ Top Tip: Try and find the `le Maltais` bar No 124 Triq Sant Antnin. Known as `Manuels`about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. No TV-excellent soft background music-spotlessly clean-fab for the middle aged and above-superb welcome.

This Hotel is in need of some severe renovating and money spending on it,very run down. Cheap and cheerful but it may ruin your holiday all together so please be aware.
We counted a total of three sun umbrellas around the pool all broken in addition to this all sunbeds are very dirty and old and many broken infact most should have been thrown away years ago. Pool not cleaned during our four day stay and looked dirty.
Several years ago you had kettles in your room now if you require that facility you have to hire one for 4 Euro per week. Also years ago you had a pool room without having to pay an supplement now you have to pay Euro 3.75 per person per day.............
Regards to the food we booked half board we tried the breakfast and evening meal first day,but that was enough it was very tasteless/ bland .
Th food was alot better 2/3 years ago.
In addition to this i found a finger nail clipping in my ice cream after this experience we went out the hotel to eat.
When you arrive they very often put you in a room over the road which is a long walk and having to use 3 lifts which is not fun with suitcase bags etc.
However if you complain they will normally move you next day
The pool bar was open 10.00 Am to 5.00 pm even when people was out on the terrace enjoying a drink in the sunshine and you had to pay a girl on the till for drinks and food then give the barman the receipt and he would then provide you with whatever you purchased i would perhaps say there could be an trust issue with staff. I left some English coins on the side in my room and i noticed later x1 £2.00 coin was missing i didnt report due to the low value but be aware my fault at the end of the day for leaving it out............At the end of the day it is a very dated hotel which the owners are not investing money in but its a cheap holiday......
On the up side apart from leaving the hotel to go back to blighty the beds are reasonably comfortable for a budget hotel which surprised me because everything else was very disappointing.
For you smokers out there we counted 2 ashtrays around the pool including pool terrace area......
“ Top Tip: Route 66 turn right outside the hotel entrance about 5 mins walk run by Arnie & katie very nice couple very reasonable for food and drinks and excellent hosts...Super English breakfast can be had......

“ Top Tip: Less than 5 minutes walk away from a few shops and pubs/restaurants but to get to more life it is worth walking another 5-10 minutes into the heart of Buggibba.
