“ We had a wonderful view from our superior seaview room on the top floor. The staff were fantastic-nothing was too much trouble. We had not booked half board but we did have 3 evening meals in the hotel which were good and excellent value. Good choice at breakfast - bar and afternoon tea prices were reasonable. We would certainly return there at a later date.9.2 Magnificent

The Grand Hotel is ideally situated overlooking the fishing hamlet of Mgarr harbour and the surrounding verdant valley. The hotel enjoys panoramic views of Comino and Malta across the Gozo channel. Viewed from above, the to and fro of the fishing boats and the incomparable vistas add a romantic touch to the excellent hospitality offered at the hotel. Guests often comment on how enjoyable these views are from the private sun terraces found in most rooms. The island of Gozo has become a heaven for holiday makers wishing to get away from it all. The island offers peace and tranquillity without sacrificing its entertainment potential. Apart from clean beaches for summer enjoyment, there are shopping centres and numerous discotheques, cinemas and a variety of exquisite restaurants. For those interested in unforgettable cultural experiences, Gozo is a treasure trove of prehistoric remains of international importance, museums and exhibitions. Nearest Airport is Malta International Airport.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Wonderful weather, even though it was mid-late October. Avery laid back atmosphere and surroundings-an ideal holiday where you really want to get away from it all. Great food and excellent staff in restaurant and bars;also excellent housekeeping.
Only downside, for me, was lack of entertainment put on by hotel-I know that we did not go height of season, BUT, where was the Saturday night entertainment!? They had a singer and keyboard twice during week, but something similar would have been much appreciated on Saturday night too. The resort outside the hotel eas vey quiet when we went-mid October- so the hotel need to work harder on this side of things.
“ Top Tip: good Arriva bus service;also hotel mini bus;also excellent ferry service to mainland Malta; local hop on-off bus tours around island-would recommend stopping off at Xlendi which, although does not have a beach, it is a lovely authentic fishing village with plenty of coves for safe bathing in crystal-clear waters. not far from hotel, would recommend the Gleneagles Bar, with its balcony outside offering lovely views of the harbour, with very reasonable prices on wines and beers.
