The hotel was very nice, breakfast was not 5 star standard though. The fusion restaurant was very good in the hotel. Unfortunately we had a room facing the church bells that rang every 15 mins throughout the night.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel was dreadful, we waited a full hour at the. Airport until they decided to set off and the taxi man from Williams garages was very rude.
“ Top Tip: L'artist restaurant in sliema was excellent.

We had a very clean well furnished room on the third floor. Very enjoyable stay with a very comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked fine. Fridge not very cold but this was only a minor point. We set the TV to English language but were not able to understand any of the French/German or Italian stations as no sub-titles etc available.
We were able to access BBC World Service & CNN for major news reports.
However, this did not detract from the holiday.
The church bells chiming every quarter hour was surprisingly loud to begin with but we hardly noticed it after a couple of days and were not kept awake at all.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast each morning was excellent with a wide & varied choice appealing to all tastes.
All in all, lived up to it's billing as a 5 star hotel.

“ Fantastic facilities and wonderful staff at the Palace made this a terriffic holiday. We upgraded to superior room on arrival for extra €175 for the week and believe it was worth it. The buffett breakfast was everthing anyone could want, including bucks fizz. The views from the outdoor pool on the 9th floor are terriffic. We found the meals in the hotel of good quality and of a reasonable price when compared against waterfront restaurants. Only complaint was the address noted for the hotel as "High Street" is not correct for the Sat Nav as the addresses should be in Malteese. It took us ages to find the hotel in our hire car on a dark evening and tired from our journey. The Palace Hotel in Sliema is in an excellent location.
“ Top Tip: Found the local bus terrible especially with over crowding. Negotiate prices with ferry and trip organisers.
