“ The Hotel was well placed for the local attractions and bus station, excellent views from the 5th floor Restaurant. I would have given a higher mark but the shower attachment didn't work and despite it being reported it wasn't fixed. It was not possible to use the bath as the defective bath plug allowed water to escape at the same speed as the tap tried to fill the bath.

“ A lovely place ideally located for some Dolce Valletta Life - short walk to the bus station, the Upper Barakka Gardens with the beautiful view are just round the corner and one of the main streets is round another.

“ Reception staff extremely helpful and courteous. Restaurant staff were of a poor quality. There was no lounge bar. The outlook from one of our rooms was so appalling such that we had to pay a premium of 150 euros to move to an acceptable room. We could not see any air conditioning so this would prove a great problem during the hot months.
“ Top Tip: Close proximity to the superb Upper Barraka Gardens was a bonus.

“ Top Tip: An all day bus ticket for 2.60 Euros is great value. Good restaurant in the 400 year old Hotel cellar.

The staff were friendly but not too in your face and the hotel has an 0lde Worlde charm. Don't stay here is you want slick and modern and standard - do stay if you want a place with some character and history to it.
“ Top Tip: A short walk away and on the other side of the street the hotel is located on and a little bakery and cafe - useful for stocking up on soft drinks and sandwiches and they do delicious Maltese pea or ricotta pies.

This is an old fashioed rather run down, hotel with limited en suite facilities and tepid "hot" water. The cellar bar is quaint but has a precipitous entry down stone steps. The restaurant is on the fifth floor overlooking Valletta and is adequate for breakfast of cold meats, cheese and fruit salad but the fruit juices were synthetic. We did not have an evening meal there but the menu, and reports from customers, are not exciting. There are some excellent reasonably priced restaurants close to the hotel and it is far better to eat out.
The best aspect of the hotel was the helpful receptionist but other staff were not very helpful. Though reasonably priced we would not choose to stay there again.

Excellent position on edge of town, close to bus station all and attractions, facilities etc.
Very comfortable although fairly basic accomodation. Hotel is in some need of brightening up. Staff very helpful and breakfast reasonably good.
Nice rooftop restaurant with great views over Grand Harbour/
