The Ambiance Villas have got it just right. Great value, friendly staff, good breakfast and lunches make this Hotel great. The pool area and beach are simply superb - in fact you wont get a better beach anywhere in Cancun.
The food and drink prices were very fair. Location is perfect as you can walk into the main center of Cancun in 10 minutes and take a bus ( which stop right outside ) for 7.5 pesos and travel anywhere in the Hotel Zone.
The room, whilst not perhaps the most luxuious, was spacious, clean and comfortable. AC worked just fine as did the fridge, TV and shower. The room has a safe.
So if you are not need a posh swank Hotel but you want simple, clean accomodation in an ideal spot, with a great beach front you cant go wrong with Ambiance. We will be back next year for sure.

Top Tip:
Cambalache Restaraunt was simpluy superb, a bit pricey but the best.
The food at the Hotel is also very good. We had lunch every day right on the beach with a beautiful view of the Caribbean.
Vist Roots Jazz Club in Downtown on Friday and Saturday nights for great live music. Top quality local Jazz fusion and Flamenco fusion ... not to be missed at any costs if you like music.

“ Top Tip: Mex-treme restaurant 10 mins walk away looked average but turned out to be both excellent for food and service.

hotel on the beach in Cancun, and with direct access to it.
is a complex of low buildings surrounded by gardens, between the "jungle" of tall buildings that is Cancun.
the rooms are spacious and clean, basic in terms of decoration and luxury, the breakfast buffet and very complete.
in short, is not a luxury hotel but is just right.
