Fabulous!!! Superb!!! Could not fault this holiday in any way and the Staff team are the people that make it stand out above the rest. We all enjoyed it so much we're going back next year. The biggest testimony for this hotel and the staff was the number of families we spoke to whilst there who had been to this place between 5 and 12 years running....you don't often hear that!

Top Tip: Go on the Island trip on the Don Diego booked at the hotel....it's a fab family day out. Definately buy the video they take while you're on the trip, it's a great reminder of a great day out!

The hotel is away from the Hotel Zone which makes it safer and quieter with less diesel fumes and traffic noise. There is a shuttle bus to Temptations which is at the beginning of the zone and from there you get local buses which are cheap and regular. The buses are like our coaches in comfort and everyone is helpful if you are in doubt where to alight. As Cancun has only one industry - Tourism - it's not surprising how many people speak good English (or rather American)! and everyone is helpful and friendly. The hotel in general needs an update as the decor is a little tired, the food is varied and plentyful even for my veggie Sister and the staff efficient. We were the only English couple there and the waiting staff soon realised that we didn't want coffee but a nice cup of tea. The rooms were cleaned and bed linen and towels changed every day (even if we hung them up to 'recycle' for a second day they were replaced), the beds were very, very comfortable and small double size per person. Three nights a week you have to eat in the Theatre whether you want to or not as there is a show on which starts at 8pm, we had Pirates of the Carribbean, Lion King and a Michael Jackson Tribute but unless you have kids it's a bit boring after the first show although the Animation staff try really hard none of them are West End standard although Dario who plays the lead thinks he is.....

Basically it's good value for money considering the prices of the other hotels in Cancun, the staff are excellent, the food is edible, the rooms are very clean and it's all inclusive - what more could you ask for?

Top Tip: Check out the day trips offered by the pool first, as you collect your towels see what they have advertised before going to Travelamex in the foyer, we had a very dodgy very old coach hand painted battleship grey and without a toilet on our first trip with Travelamex, and the clutch went on the way home! Most coaches have badly broken windscreens, illegal in the UK but they still operate in Mexico.

Really well run hotel. On arrival I left my jacket in the taxi with 1800 dollars in a secure pocket. did not realise until taxi was gone. due to security procedures at hotel and a lot of help from management and staff we were able to track down the cab and driver and, after a bit of a game of consequences with the taxi driver, were able to retrieve the jacket and all of the contents. Quite a result. I also had a problem with an air conditioning unit rattling noisily next door to me- I was able to move into another room within minutes of alerting the night manager Jose Manuel of the disturbance. Overall a very good, friendly, well run hotel which is a little outside the Zona Hotelelera but makes an excellent base for enjoying all of the sights and sounds of the Yucatan Peninsula and the night life of Cancun. I stayed for four weeks and will definately go back if I can.

Top Tip: Take the local bus from outside the hotel into downtown Cancun for 4.5 Pesos(25p) and get a larger bus to the Hotel Zone if you want for 8.0 pesos(40p). There are always taxis available if you prefer and the bell boys will let you know what the fare should be.

A great quality hotel located right on the beach. Its a bit out of the hotel zone in the port area of Puerto Juarez but the staff and entertainment team provide an excellent service so there's no need to leave the complex. The food available in each of the restaurants surpassed expectations with a wide variety to suit all. Make sure you don't miss the shows on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Theatre restaurant.

Top Tip: Visit Isla Mujeres and rent a golf buggy for $45. Great fun on a really scenic Caribbean island. For the more adventurous book a swimming session at Dolphin Discovery.
