Perfect location and staff were wonderful. Lots to do for children and great beach too!
We stayed during recent Hurricane Rina and the hotel updated us hourly and even when parts of the hotel was damaged it was back to normal within hours. I was personally injured during the storm and the staff arranged for Doctor and hospital visit!

We were dissapointed with the holiday due to:
We paid extra to be upgraded when we got there as we were not given a room with a beach view as requested by yourselves. However the beach was not only out of bounds but was also had some pipework being installed so there was a lot of equipment on site so the view was appaling but was also noisy day and night as there was work going on round the clock. I have photos of this should you require them. We were not informed about this by yourselves or the hotel staff when we upgraded.
The reason for us to go on such holidays is to enjoy the sea and the beach and the views and none of this was possible.
Please respond as to how we can go about claiming some compensation as the hotel views and the beach facilities were not as described by yourselves.

They don't have proper beach. They always have some works and if you like to spend your time near the pool you will be fine but not if you want to enjoy beach holiday. Their shore is full of stones (because of their desire to create artificial beach). The tractors on the beach are noisy and smelly so if you like to smell oil - it's for you.
Additionally, there is no sound isolation in the rooms - i.e. you can hear everything happnning in the corridor and if you have room facing the lagoon - you will have live concerts till 11pm every night.
Other than this, the hotel was good. Staff (apart from reception) was excellent. Food was good also however not much of Mexcian stuff (even in "Mexican" restaraunt)
“ Top Tip: If you want to go on real beach you have to walk some further down the shore to swim on other hotels' beaches.
