The only hotel I have come across in my life which doesn't offer room service. It was no where near the city, we had to take a cab service everyday costing $15 USD to get to the main strip and another $20 USD (higher rate during the evening) to come back to the hotel.
The hotel was dead with virtually no one there but some old couples - seemed like it was their pension break. We were supposed to be on a spring break and this hotel is labelled as "Hotel Zone in Cancun, MEXICO" - No where near the hotel zone.
The airliner - Thomas Cook - is the worst airliner in the market. It's the only airliner that I have come across where you pay for your initial ticket as well taxes but still have to pay to get headphones to listen to the entertainment system and pay for food which is already covered by the ticket.
No one was on the other side to greet us when we landed, no one provided a guide to the city in terms of where we should go (sight seeing etc) and we had to make our own way to the hotel costing us $110 USD. We should have atleast been greeted and given some ideas of where to go for our 2 weeks stay.
I have now travelled with Thomas Cook twice. I didn't actually know our airline would be Thomas Cook when I booked this holiday with Travel Republic otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with the entire holiday - Yes, this is how bad Thomas Cook is in our books.
I think it's fair to say I probably will NOT be booking again with Travel Republic - well, I probably will again, but I'd have to be 100% that the airline we travel with is NOT Thomas Cook.
So am I going to recommend this holiday for a Spring Break? No way. This hotel is better for old couples or families who have very young children. It's very quiet.
There was also no refrigerators available.
The hotel is not bad considering the stars (3) however considering the amount of people there, I wouldn't recommend this for a group of young people who go to Cancun for Spring Break.

Top Tip:
I'd change this hotel location first because it's no where near the hotel zone. 2nd, I'd indicate that there is no room service.
The only local thing near the hotel was a dead beach. It's not so nice considering the beaches near the hotel zone, but it's the only thing near the hotel. Oh but you can't go on that beach because it's owned by another hotel (Barcelo) which means your not allowed to relax on their beach if your not staying at their hotel.
