  • Amazing hotel, excellent service. Sea view room worth addtional money as view of the boats entering and leaving the harbour is so worth it! Swimming pool excellent and plenty of available sunbeds. Pool bar not great in evening when they have corporate functions as too busy to get a drink however duty manager was looking in to this as a repeated issue.

Excellent

Check-in date:

A superb location only a moments walk from Casino Square. Roof Top pool and Spa a real pleasure with stunning views. Even if you are not a motor racing fan the view from the roof of the Hotel of the iconic hairpin at Monaco is something special. Food and Drink in the Hotel is very expensive and the prices for the mini bar in your room are prohibitive to say the least but, you have to remember this is Monaco!......

Top Tip: For more reasonably priced food and drink don't be afraid to explore the roads around the hotel, Spar shop in the Metropole shopping center a must for those treats back in your room. Easy to miss so head for the Bakery and the double doors to the left lead downstairs to the more traditional Spar shop. For people watching and Supercar watching there is no better place than the Cafe / Restaurant on one side of Casino Square, grab a front row seat, a Kir Royal or two! and sit back and watch........... Fascinating.....

Pool bar not great in evening when they have corporate functions as too busy to get a drink however duty manager was looking in to this as a repeated issue. Breakfast is a must, amazing buffet with everything you could want. Top tippay for breakfast with room as expensive if paid for locally. We will definitely return.

Top Tip: Cafe du Paris for afternoon people watch fantsatic. Cascino fun, not worth paying to enter inner area unless weekend night as numbers of big gamblers small and no atmosphere. Outer section free to enter if wearing appropraite clothing (ie no shorts, jeans or backpacks) really worth going to even to just watch!

Check-in date:

Great room, stunning view of the sea, wonderful service. Breakfast was reasonable and the setting overlooking the bay was terrific. We had breakfast included but be aware if you do not. It is 72e (circa £65) for a buffet breakfast for two. Perhaps this is to be expected, after all it is Monte-Carlo!!

Top Tip: Hotel de Paris is just round the corner, YOU HAVE TO EAT at their 'Grill' resturant. Be prepared to pay £150 for a meal, but the food and service is extra ordinary.

If you want to go to the casino, you need to have photo id.

For a more relaxed environment, where you can get a cracking burger or steaks for under £20, try Stars n Bars in the main harbour (around 10-15 minute walk from hotel). Its quite famous and is a regular hang out for super stars, buts its just SOOOO relaxed and friendly.

Beer in hotel aprox £10, Hotel de Paris, £15, Stars n Bars £6 local cafes in the town £5.
