Royal Mirage Agadir Hotel

“ Definitely not a 4* hotel! It looks really tired, no attention to details at all. The lobby looks ok and it's kept clean. The room is quite small, but I wouldn't expect anything else. Sticky furniture, but a nice and comfy bed. I didn't like the bathroom- very old, tiles coming off, definitely not clean enough.

Bad things:
* need to wake up at 7 am to reserve beds by the pool.
* really bad food. I ended up eating bread and butter every morning.
* horrible coffee with long life milk.
* we only had 2 sunny days from 7! (the rest was really cold and no sun at all).
* no entertainment at all, nothing to do in the afternoon unless you want to go to a club down the town (not recommended).
* beach is pass a busy road, through a public parking, restaurants and shops and it's not very clean.
* the ocean is really cold.

Good things:
* nice and clean towels every day.
* nice gin & tonic (bear horrible).
* nice view from the window.

If you're looking for a sunny and lovely holiday go to Egypt. I absolutely hated Morocco and would never go back there (mostly down to the weather).

Royal Atlas Hotel looked much better than Beach Albatros- check it out before booking.

“ Although we really enjoyed our time at the hotel, it is not what I would class as a 5 star hotel, it is more in line with a 3 star by European Standards. If the standard of the rooms were improved this would make a great deal of difference and be more in line with the very well maintained, clean and comfortable pool area.

The food got a little repetitive by the end of the week, there should be more choice available or at least better variety from day to day.

The entertainment was more suited to non-english speaking tourists and the majority of it was aimed at the children.

Found all of the staff to be very polite and willing to help, with the exception of one of the entertainment staff who at times was very inappropriate towards my friend in what he was saying, saying that all other entertainment staff were very helpful and made you feel very welcome and encouraged you to enjoy yourself.

As my friend and I were looking for a relaxing holiday which involved little more than sitting by the pool and enjoying the weather and the food we enjoyed ourselves despite the above comments.

“ Nice hotel. They were in the middle of refurbishing when we were there. Really nice lobby and restaurant, clean and beautiful decor. Food was great at the hotel, plenty of choice in the breakfast and dinner buffet. Staff were friendly. The rooms were a bit basic for a five star hotel though. The sheets and towels were changed daily, but the top blankets were not changed which i found a bit disappointing and dirty as my toddler used to play on the beds and would make them a bit dirty with milk, crayons, food, sand and they would not be changed. The bathroom was a bit poorly and could do with being re-done. The furniture in the rooms were ok but very dated. Location wise the hotel was very close to the beach, other hotels and restaurants, transport, shopping facilities and the zoo and bird park were literally right next door to the hotel! We did wake up at 5 am hearing interesting sounds from the zoo which was right next to the hotel, so if you are planning on having a lie in, might not be the best place to stay. We have a toddler who wakes up at 6 so didnt really bother us that much.

“ Top Tip: The marina is a nice place to go to for afternoon tea or lunch. Lovely cafes and restaurants and lovely views. If you have children, there is a bird park which joins on to a zoo and a small playground in agadir. If you are looking for cheap souveniers try souk al ahad.
