We had a few issues with room housekeeping. No towels one day and no toilet
paper the other!! We did however receive a complimentary bottle of champagne
from Reception.
The food was excellent. Entertainment - the same for 6 nights!!!!!
The hotel is a good 50 mins. walk to restaurants/marina. No shops or
restaurants/bars near to hotel, so one has to use taxis if you wish to go outside
of hotel.
The pool service/restaurant service was excellent.

This hotel is magnificent! They have thought of everything and the service is great. All the staff were so friendly, happy and full of energy and the door staff and concierge were so helpful and welcoming.
Considering this is a five star hotel the food prices are reasonable & drinks are typical of this quality of hotel. The food is a very good standard. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
I visited end March 2012 and the weather was good but there was a cold breeze from the Atlantic sometimes but Sofitel has designed the sunbathing areas so they are sheltered from this. When there is no breeze there is plenty of shade.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful and entertainment is provided in the main atrium. There is also a popular club in the hotel with a live band. Stay up late for the DJ and just wander back to your room afterwards!
The only reason I didn't give this hotel 10 out of 10 is because smoking is allowed everywhere (although the bedroom was smoke free) and I have asthma and Moroccans do love to smoke! I do hope they change this policy soon but it's countywide so I guess it's not their fault!

“ Top Tip: My top tip would be to visit a Hamman for relaxing experience. Make sure you go to the Marina and eat fish! Great restaurants and the sterling exchange rate makes good quality food eating, with wine, very reasonable. There is also a great Moroccan restaurant called Mauroush (not sure I've spelt this correctly) with great quality food, good prices and atmosphere. You can get Moroccan food elsewhere, cheaper but the quality may not be as good!

“ Hotel is very good , if you go to Agadir this is the best hotel there, I have stayed there twice now. actuually been to Agadir four times now and have stayed at two other hotels. everything you need is available, rooms really nice, service good. entertainment good. down side they reserve the sun loungers and yes you could be pretty cheesed off having to sit away from the pool whilst sun loungers remain un-used with a towel on them. wasn't like that the first time I stayed but things change. actually a blemish on the hotel status and will put people off. In addition drinks are not that cheap there and they are well over 20% more than most of the other hotels.
“ Top Tip: The Souk is about 1 mile away well worth a visit but be prepared for haggling and some pretty dire sales ploys
