The hotel is excellent and you are treated like royalty by the staff when you arrive. Very helpful staff. Excellent facilities at the hotel and one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had. Rooms are huge with very comfy beds.
But beware at night of the petit taxis in the city. They can be very dodgy and was threatened by a taxi driver to pay way over the odds for a 5 min trip. Demanded 20 times the going rate and locked the car and wouldn't let us out.
In fairness to the hotel they chased the driver but were unable to catch him. You need to get the taxi number from top of car in order to report them. If you do that then the Hyatt will do everything to get your money back and have the driver removed from their route.
But the Hyatt use their own petit taxi drivers from outside the hotel. Stick to those guys and when you find a decent one get his number to pick you up later.
“ Top Tip: Rick's Cafe and the Mosque are very close to the taxi. A 5 min ride will take you past them both.
