“ Love this hotel. Right in the centre of Gueliz (the new town in Marrakech), nice little pool, easy to reach the Medina by taxi (it should cost you around 15/20 MAD, easier if fewer people). The room is pretty basic, so don't expect anything near to luxury, but again its price is very reasonable. The only downside I would say is the dinner, compared to other places or even many local restaurants, the food is not that good and I really think you can avoid dining there. There is very limited storing space so it is ideal for the light traveller or for someone staying just a few days. But in a city where the sun shines 365 days a year, there is no need to bring too much stuff with you, just go, enjoy and relax!

“ A smile, and please and thankyou got you very good service from all the staff. Rooms adequate, food plentiful, and very good value for the price. Maybe a little dated in some areas, but nonetheless clean. Hotel pool adequate, but steps not easy to acess for young or less able.
“ Top Tip: ACIMA supermarket, tourist information office, and station nearby. Open top bus terminal nearby, and very good value. No 1 bus to mediana costs 3.5dh (30p) Majorelle Jardine very good.

Absalutely would stay here again, beautiful reception area, lots of space, amazing staircase.

“ The hotel has a nice pool area and is close to many places to eat. There aren't many places to drink, but there are a few restaurants near the hotel that sell alcohol. The hotel staff arn't overly friendly. I did have some money go missing from my room. When I reported it, I was advised that I needed to report it to the police which for the amount involved, didn't seem worth the hassle. Especially as I don't speak french. Rooms were cleaned daily, although the Air Con was noisy. Bearing in mind the pool area, cost and closeness to the Medina, this is a good hotel which could be made better if the staff were more friendlier.
“
Top Tip:
Use the safety deposit boxes in reception at the hotel for keeping passports and money in. It doesn't cost anything unless you lose the key.
If you're a single traveller like me and want to avoid being hassled by the locals walking to the Medina, turn right at out the hotel and walk a few minutes up the street until you get to the large round seating area. From here, get a No 1 bus to the Medina for 3.5 Dirham.
Don't pay 15 Dirham for a bottle of water from the hotel. Turn right out of the hotel and walk to the news stand about 100 metres away and pay 5 Dirham for a bottle of water.
Try La Rainassaince (head guy is so friendly) & Charleys Cabana for somewhere to eat/drink, Again, turn right out of the hotel and you'll find both of them after a few minutes.
If you want to get away from the noise of the city and have a quiet drink, try the Chesterfield pub. Turn right out of the hotel and then right again onto Avenue Mohammed V (the same Avenue you walk up to get to the Medina - about a 50 minute walk for me but I'm a slow walker).

“ Rooms were comfortable. Food was on a half board basis and a welcome pack and some communication re: paying for soft drinks with your meal is essential. For example I think you could have your lunch or dinner but you had to pay for your drinks. I found some waiters to be rude as I ordered a white coffee and was presented with milk that had turned. I know they expect tips but if they are serving you food and drink that is below average why tip? I would strongly advise tourists visiting at the ramadam to expect laid back service at this hotel. This hotel would make considerable profit if they had opened their bar it was like trying to get blood out of a stone to get a beer. There are nice places to visit but always agree a price before booking any trips as you have added expenses i.e paying for guide, and getting dropped off nowhere near your hotel.

“ Very friendly staff in the hotel, couldnt do enough for us. Breakfast much better than the Amalay and the evening meal as well. Only minus point was that the dining room was quite cold and they tended to leave the door open. Good location, handy for train station and bus stops. Very good value for money.
