Very friendly staff in the hotel, couldnt do enough for us. Breakfast much better than the Amalay and the evening meal as well. Only minus point was that the dining room was quite cold and they tended to leave the door open. Good location, handy for train station and bus stops. Very good value for money.

The hotel was as expected for the price. It was very clean yet it does appear quite dated. The rooms were cleaned each day and was adequate for the price. The bathroom in the room could probably do with being replaced. However for the very low price paid I could not have expected more.
The hotel staff were very friendly and tried their best to communicate in English. The hotel staff are very loud especially in the mornings and the noise does travel up to the rooms. The hotel also has a room on the ground floor which appears to be mainly occupied by local young people in the evenings where very loud music is played until midnight each night. This noise does travel up to the rooms.
The hotel is in the new part of the city just off the main road, it is around a 30 to 40 minute slow walk into the medina (old part). We were bed and breakfast and i have to say i am glad i did not go for half board or full board. The breakfast was very basic (french style) with just a few different types of bread and tea/coffee.

On the whole i would say if you just require a base and are not expecting anything more then this is fine. Due to the loud noise i would not recommend to families with children or to older people, also due to the location it does require walking.

Yes, the hotel has seen better days and is looking a little tired but it wasnt an expensive hotel so I wont complain. the room was quite large for a single and the bed was comfortable and bigger than a normal single bed. There was aircon/heating which worked and enough cupboard space for me and plenty enough blankets to keep me warm on a cold Moroccan evening. If you wanted it there was a tv that worked that had a channel dedicated to English speaking films with Moroccan/Arabic subtitles. The bathroom was large enough and it had plenty of hot water. The shower didnt quite fit properly in its holder and escaped a couple of times soaking the floor but the cleaner always cleared it up and gave me fresh dry towels each morning. The room was cleaned, beds made and fresh towels given every day. The breakfast was the same as in most hotels, many different types of bread type products, olives, butter and a selection of jams/honey. There was mint tea, teabags (I think) and coffee (though their coffee was probably the worst I have tasted in Morocco). There was a large balcony that opened onto the main road at the front. I was concerned about noise but with the door shut I couldnt hear a thing. If I had to make a complaint it would be that with the heavy doors and the noisy locks you were disturbed when people came in and out. I don't think you could be quiet getting in and out of your room if you tried! The hotel staff really were friendly and amazingly helpful, I could not fault them at all. Every staff member I came across really was an asset to the hotel. If I was after a budget hotel in this part of town I would definately use them again. Although I felt it was quite expensive for a late check out the hotel quite happily kept luggage behind the front desk.

Top Tip: Just out onto the main road, turning left is an eaterie called 404. If you are after budget food that tastes good then this is the place for you. If you turn right on the main road, just opposite the petrol station is a supermarket (Acimas?) that sells alcohol. Again turning left, the hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk from supratours (turn right when you get to the train station). Though I didn't get the bus to the airport the number 19 takes you there and you catch it from near the tourist office. The medina was a 25 - 35 minute walk away.

This 5-storey hotel comprises a total of 140 rooms, of which 10 are suites. Facilities include 3 bars and 3 restaurants where guests may indulge in some tasty Moroccan cuisine. There are car park and garage facilities for those arriving by car.

Love this hotel. Right in the centre of Gueliz (the new town in Marrakech), nice little pool, easy to reach the Medina by taxi (it should cost you around 15/20 MAD, easier if fewer people). The room is pretty basic, so don't expect anything near to luxury, but again its price is very reasonable.

Located in the heart of Marrakech, on the corner of Zerktouni avenue and close to “Colisee” theatre, Tachfine is 10 minutes from the famous Jamaa El Fna square and its markets. Entirely air conditioned it has 50 well equipped rooms with bath, television, telephone and loggia. At the ground floor you will have the pleasure of discovering its Moroccan sitting room, its bar as well as its 2 restaurants where you will have the occasion to taste the delicacy of Moroccan and international cuisine. this without forgetting its panoramic terrace (bar / café) at the 6th floor with a great view on the city.

I stayed in several hotels in and around Marrakech, some with my family, some on my own. I have to say this was my favourite, in rapport to cost/quality.

Good value 3 star hotel right next to the old Medina and overlooking the Atlas mountains. One of the best locations in the city for exploring the sights. The hotel has 165 comfortable rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and safety deposit boxes. All have full en suite bathrooms and most have balconies. Room service is available until midnight. There is a restaurant that serves daily specials and Moroccan cuisine. Half board is available (breakfast is buffet and dinner is usually waiter service). There is a comfortable lounge and a snack bar (alchohol is not served in the hotel).

1.I found the hotel staff feindly and helpful and they spoke good english. 2.Breakfast very basic 3.I had a single room with balcony at front of hotel, it was noisey when the windows were open but i wanted this so i could see all the hustle.

Customer rating from 14 reviews: 7.3 Good

When coming to Marrakech Las Palmeras is like staying in a private paradise! This 5-star guesthouse benefits from a fantastic location on the Ouarzazate road of Marrakech. It is also conveniently situated a short 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. Guests will love the hotel's bedrooms all in a different theme either of the “thousand and one nights or with beautiful colors surrounding the Moroccan lounge in some rooms, which are all of a good size and decorated in a traditional and comfortable style. They will also enjoy relaxing around the outdoor swimming pool on a lounge chair and if they feel like getting into the Moroccan traditions, the Moroccan lounge will be just the perfect spot to have a home made mint tea, a refreshing drink or a snack in the evening

It was an absolutely excellent and well run efficient place. I would go back again and again. Reccommended
