Hotel Description:
Riad Dar Alhambra is a unique Moroccan guest house ideally suited for families or friends wishing to have the house to themselves!
Nestled in the heart of Marrakech in the old medina, next door to the Medersa Ben Youssef and the Marrakesh museum, three minutes from the souks and eight minutes walk from the Jemaa El Fnaa square, the Riad Alhambra is in a great location. Dating from the 16th century the Riad Alhambra has been lovingly and discreetly restored in pure Moroccan tradition. The rooftop terrace offers splendid views of the Koutoubia, the high Atlas Mountains, and superb sunsets - great for privileged dining and sun bathing! This could be a holiday to remember - book into the Riad Alhambra now.
Room Facilities:
The Riad Alhambra has 6 individual, very comfortable and beautifully decorated double guest rooms which are equipped with ensuite, private bathrooms, air-conditioning and central heating. Four rooms have a fireplace, the rooms are each of a different size, and 5 have a lounge area. Please collect your keys from reception.

“ If you are staying in Marrakech then a Riad is really what you should stay in; they are all converted from old houses built round a central courtyard and are in the medina or old town and if you are staying in a riad then I don't believe you could find a more perfect one than the Alhambra. It has been beautifully and lovingly restored and feels like a little palace. The photographs don't begin to do it justice. Each room is different but all the ones we saw were beatiful. The bed in ours was really comfortable, there are fireplaces in every room and in the winter there is a log fire burning in the sitting room which is just lit by low lighting and candles. The central courtyard too was lit by candlelight. Incredibly atmospheric and romantic. The small staff couldn't have been more friendly. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
“ Top Tip: The Dar Moha restaurant had excellent moroccan food. It was a set 5 course menu and is not cheap, but really memorable. Many of the restaurants round Jmaa al Fnaa square are reasonably priced and not bad. Eating in the temporary bbqs there in the evening is a must too. Everything is cooked to order and quite safe.

“ We stayed there with our 2 and half years old son and he was treated like a little prince by the manager and his staff. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely go back there again.
“ Top Tip: Definitely have dinner at least one night in the riad, the food was so much better than the restaurants outside.

We loved our hotel. It was probably the best part of our entire trip! I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Marrakesh, and if I go back, I will use them again.
It's a very traditional place, which is what makes it great. The only drawback is that you can hear a lot between rooms because the area is all so open. Despite that, I still thought it was worth it, and it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful, and the dinner they served was excellent! They really go all out.

“ The Riad was excellent and the meals that were cooked for us were superb. The staff at the Riad were always courteous, helpful and good humoured, we couldn't ask for any more from them.
“ Top Tip: The Riad was in the middle of the Souks in the Medina so we feel we experienced how life is lived in Marrakech warts and all!!

“ This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The lobby, bar and restaurant are lovely but the real winning feature is the garden and pool area. It is stunning. Guests can lounge near the pool all day on sun loungers (I did this as it was warm even in January) with an endless supply of towels.
